'04 HFL : How to prevent connection

Hi!!!

I have a jawbone BT headset and want to use that in my TL. But once the HFL connects to my phone, i cant find a way to switch back to my jawbone unless i turn the car off, connect with jawbone.. turn car back on... etc.

Any ideas?

Deleting the phone from the TL isnt an option, since i then will get a nagging message every 30 seconds saying "Initiating pairing from the phone is not allowed..." even if im not trying to pair!!

thanks!!!

When the phone is connected to the HFL, you can go into the menu and tell it to disconnect from the car. Then it should by default find the next BT device...

Should be under the "Bluetooth" or "Connection" heading in the phones menu....

Unfortunately with my phone (cingular 8525) you cannot manually disconnect an individual device. You can only turn bluetooth on or off, or add/delete a device. There is no connect/disconnect per device.

Any other ideas?

Do you not like the hfl for phone calls? I would get a new phone if this was my problem, although it looks like you have a pretty expensive feature rich phone.

I like the jawbone better-- it is much quieter than the HFL system. Id at least like to have the option.

Transfer will not break the bluetooth connection which is active, it will just transfer the audio back to your handset, and keep the connection active (you will still see the little picture of a telephone in your display above the center console, next to the clock).
