'04 Factory AMP - TL

My TL 04 factory amp has what seems to be noise, in the old days it was from a bad ground. The noise increases as the engine rpm increase. Noise volume is consistant, but goes away when engine is off.

Any suggestions? Or, any Audio buff retro have the factory amp hanging around and willing to sell? Location Tallhassee, FL.

I am new to the site and hope I am not violating any rules.

The factory amp is bolted to the frame. If there is a bad ground, then it is likely internal.

There are some 2004s show up in junkyards and even being parted out online. Call around.

There have been a few threads about the early model amps going bad in just the way you describe. The solution is to replace the amp.

The expert in this is rockstar143; you might want to contact him and I'm sure he will be able to fill you in with all the information you need.
