Anyone know how to fix my issue where the volume increases as I speed up then volume decreases when I slow down?
on some newer vehicles I believe this is called “speed sensitive volume” and can turn it off and on in the settings. I’ve looked through all the settings and can’t find a setting that resembles this feature. Anyone know if there is a setting I can turn off or a way to fix this?

Few days ago I was thinking about increasing this feature 😀 but I couldn't remind the settings pass. However I'm sure the feature setting is there 😀

 

It is in Polish, however the setting you are looking for is the one in the bottom 😎

• 1. Ice was doing the speaker wiring? Is that what you're referring to?
• 2. It acts like a firmware update If I remember correctly. It changes the them from C to F on the unit. and that's about all it does It just looks intense when updating. If you check my media fire there is an individual file for the Temp fix. And all you need to do is run the APK file from the file explorer on the unit.

• Im pretty sure the old unit only has the RCA cable for the rear camera, I think the new units have the direct camera port now? I think the old units always had these pins for 360 camera modules as well but there were never any at the time so these pins were left there with no use. Can you take a picture of ur wiring so I can see what 12pin ur rear cam is using? Im using a 360 Camera module outside the unit that connects via the RCA cable.

• As for the noise I've never found a fix for the light hissing. The filters don't work. HOWEVER, I have noticed that if your mini screen above the navi is going bad or is bad, it can cause a the buzzing to be WORSE. So I unplugged mine. Maybe that can help u?

I noticed Lisa from NaviTech joined but looks like she is banned . She is my main point of contact for this unit till this day. Looks like she made a video on how to update the firmware. I won't be doing that because updating this unit and any computer for that matter is always trouble haha.

I appreciate your response, here's what I discovered that the hissing only occurs when the cars interior lights are enabled. I disconnected the clock and the hissing persisted, very annoying. The reverse video wire turned out to be generic and I replaced it without incident. I still don't have the correct wiring harness so my system is stuck in Stereo 😢. My final question is with the aforementioned wiring harness, if I were to purchase a generic one with cable outputs for 5.1 from Amazon/Aliexpress would I still need to manually wire into the sound chip on the back of the nav unit or would it work out of the box?

 

The hissing you’ll have to live with. Everyone has it. I believe the issue is that the sound is coming out the nav already amplified and then going into the amp making that hissing noise. There was a guy on YouTube who cut wires and wired it directly to the amp. OR cut the power wire on the amp and put a switch in the middle that might just do the trick


For the 5.1 cable no idea if it’ll work but it’s worth a shot.

 

The config.txt from whichever update you used needs the prop "ro.sf.swrotation=" set to 90 for our screens.

Here's the config I used. It also has the added for Bluetooth_lte devices to be recognized by our units (led strips, etc): config.txt

 

Has anyone else’s wireless carplay randomly stopped working (iOS)? Is there a know fix for this?

Hey all, I have FINALLY got around to doing this upgrade in my 2007 TL. I purchased my NAVITECH unit back November 2021, and it has sat and died since ... Can't expain why I lost interest in the project ....

Anyway, fast forward to today ... I just completed the install, complete with new backup camera. Everything spliced in, mounted, and sealed. First notes ...

1) Temp is in C up on the top LCD display. Seems like that is still broken, and never resolved.
2) My temps are in F on the unit, so I was at least updated there.
3) Unable to train the steering wheel keys. When I go in to that control app, it never seems to register I'm pressing anything on the wheel.
4) Speed on the dashboard is set for KPH. I can't figure out how to change to MPH.

most of your questions are addressed in this thread. The C to F thing is just the way it is. Dashboard speed is also km no changing that.

The firmware updates don’t fix or do much. I’d leave it alone

 

So I see you have successfully changed your lauchpad speed tracking from KPH to MPH. Could you please share how you did this? Also, what version of the software are you running? Maybe I need to simply update my version.

 

Thanks for the response ... I saw another member showing MPH on their dashboard, so that is why I asked. I messaged them in this thread as well.

As for the streering wheel control, i just can't get it working. What is happening is when you go in to the settings, it seems like its already picking up a signal, and wants you to program a key. Where as it should be saying please press a key on original wheel, and then flip to pick key to program when you are holding the button on the wheel. I've been lead to believe this is CAN related. I checked the settings on mine, and it's set for
XC -> Honda -> OugeTL -> XC. This is odd, because i've seen other images showing Acura TL for that 3rd selection. Seems maybe firmware related? I'm still running April 2021 firmware, so I'm not sure if updates would solve this issue or not.

 

If I was you I would swap the launcher honestly. I have a guide on a custom launcher, and others have launchers as well. You should be able to find the files.

The steering wheel not working is reallllly strange because for most of us it worked out of the box. DO NOT update your firmware using our software files unless you OS's are the same. Contact Lisa from Navitech and she will give you a firmware update that will likely fix everything

 

I was pointed to upgrading to:

There were 2 files provided. I completed the 360 upgrade first, and then the MCU upgrade. Now I appear to be in the state someone else is in, where the white quick launch button has been relocated up, and there is the 360 button showing on the screen now too.

Still no change on the steering wheel issue .... Can you confirm what your CAN settings look like?

 

wait.. damn, neither wired nor wireless carplay work on this unit?! It was my main reason for wanting to swap out my screen for this! this changes everything

 

Okay, so I dowloaded your Acura Launcher59 APK, put it on a USB stick, took to the unit, hit explorer, and ran the APK. It installed, and flipped to the new launcher. All in all, between the firmware/MCU update and now this, I'm in a pretty good spot. This new launcher removed the KPH issue, since that isn't on the display now. However, there are 2 issues left that I'm trying to navigate ....

1) With the new laucher, there is the window space on the top right with nothing up there. I assumed your active window, or GPS window would end up there. Is there a way to change that?
2) Since updating from the older 2021 version to this one, there was one option that used to appear on that white dot botton that appears, which was split screen. It allowed you to put up 2 apps at same time. Very hand. Since update, that option is gone. Is there a place to turn that back on?

 

Okay, never mind, I've figured out the "Launcher App Window" setting ... Waze is in that windows now ...

So the only 2 remaining issues are:


1) I can't seem to figure out what happened to the split screen option. It disappeared in this newer firmware. Was nice to be able to split a youtube and GPS window.
2) Still can't get to the bottom of why the steering wheel can't program.

 

1) So the split screen is on some apps not all. You click the apps button on top that shows all apps and you can click the split screen button on the app there. If it has not button it has no split screen.

2) So when i used to have the car and wanted to change steering controls Id goto the app, hold down the steering button and press the command i wanted associated with it. If yours doesn't work I'd ask navi tech .

 

It worked, but then stopped. I tried it once more after that because i have only Wired version, I didn't buy the wireless. My current car has that and its also crap. But the wired one did work and when i tried again it couldnt connect. But I also might have been using the wrong usb port because theres two on this unit and only one works with carplay.

Yours should work out the box im sure im just not caring enough to troubleshoot.

 

Have any of you had any experience with an internal TPMS connected to our navi?

I've been looking at something with a little more quality and that allows for replacing the batteries in the internal sensor.

 

I wouldn't bother. Theres no quality in aftermarkets like these and the sensors that are OEM always last minimum 5 years. Recharging them is going to save so maybe 100$ when they die. Really no point IMO. but if you want them then get any pair of sensor they're likely going to be the same.

 

If you like to play a little, it is possible to replace batteries in our sensors 😊

 

It's time to play a little to see if I'm lucky with this type of sensor.

My model is 04 6spd without sensors 😭

 

As far as I know the new versions are a little better but I have not heard of any of the bugs being fixed. I have used this for over a year now and honestly, Its still a great device. I have gotten used to all its quirks. Some people have mentioned they don't hear a Hissing with the new model which is a huge bug fix I pray u get one without hiss.

 

I recently replaced my old unit with a new one with A13 and the new A/C controls, but even though it has a built-in filter in the wiring, it still makes the small hissing noise, something I barely heard with my old unit.

 

Hi everyone, just wanted to follow up since I’ve seen more people asking about updates in DMs and replies.

✅ The newer 12.1” Tesla-style Android screens with A13 chip and full A/C control are now much smoother.
Some users still report slight hissing, but only on specific harness versions.

I’ve personally tested both the 9.7” and 12.1” on 2006 & 2007 TLs, so if anyone wants to compare setups or wiring versions, happy to help!

good question how did you get the Grey acura to show on your screen?

 

For the stock launcher if you hold the car image down it should show you the others. But they’re not always pre downloaded so you need to download the image of a black Acura from google. You can also change the launcher which I recommend. I have a post on that as well with a custom launcher

I've got DH-8817 7862 unit since 2 or 3 years and have never updated it as there have been no problems. Maybe one with heating but I don't think it is the matter of the unit .
Nevertheless, it is high time to take look what updates are available 😎

 

Okay guys I have an 9.7 t style that was on android 13 and it got wiped out and wouldnt reload...not sure what happened there....but i used only dannish files to recover my unit now im stuck on android 10...can anyone provide the current firmware for android 13?
