Zaino Help ?

I have zainod the car and I think I put some fine scratches/swirls (maybe the dealer ) on the paint . Its only visible in the sun and if your up really really close ! Can I use the dawn to take zaino off so I then can apply the polish to fill in these areas ? If not what should I use ? Dont get me wrong its looks wonderful but I'm anal when it comes to this ! Suggestions please !

Yes, you can use Dawn to strip off the existing Zaino polish and then re-apply the it again. What did you use before? I assume it was Z2. Try using Z5.

NO - Dawn doesn't strip Zaino. Dawn only removes wax and grease.

If you have some fine scratches -
1. You can try using Zaino Z5, it is designed to fill the fine "spider-webbing" scratches. These kind of scratches can start at the dealer, and can also be caused by poor washing techniques, using towels with polyester in them and by wiping the car when it is dry.

2. If you want to remove the scratches, you can use a "glaze" or "swirl mark remover" with an orbital buffer, but be gentle. The polishing compound will also remove the Zaino, so you will need to Dawn wash (to remove the polish) and re-Z from scratch.

Kona: Tinting

Is your car tinted, seemed that way from your picture? If so, what % back/front? Who's film did you use? How does the rear window take the tint given the antenna "grid(s)" In advance, thanks.

Yes, it's tinted with Llumar ATR 35% all around. This is a semi-metallic film and I haven't noticed any degradation in AM/FM/GPS reception. You can click on my sig image to view larger pictures.

Kona - No biggie!

Clay bar - If you "lightly" clay it should not remove the "protection". Heavier claying will remove it surely.
