You drive around, and sometimes you see...
Those mint looking old cars, like the 1st gen Acura Legend, or those old Honda Accords that look like it just rolled off the production line.
If you decide to keep your TL for the next 10 - 15 years... would you be that guy driving the spiffy shiny 2004-2008 Acura TL?
Maybe enthusiasts in their 9th gen Acura TLs will give you props! How would you treat your car?
I think if I were to keep it, I would definitely do a restoration at one time and keep it in my garage as a weekend driver perhaps, or meet up with old timers.

Yes I will have my TL nice and clean.
Those pristine legends that you see are most likely owned by the original owner. Most of the old cars that look like shit look bad because they have been through multiple owners and are sold at very low prices so the new owner does not give a rats ass about how it looks.

There are still plenty of Legends rolling around in my neck of the woods. They really have a timeless design and still look good by today's standards, especially the Legend coupe I see the 3G TL aging very gracefully and being a timeless design as well. I don't plan on ever selling mine.

While I know I won't have my car for more than another year or so, I do my absolute best to keep it pristine. The car looks like it has 40,000 miles on it, not 101,000. Hell I literally was just down in the garage cleaning the engine bay. I take care of what I have. I LOVE seeing older cars that have been kept in excellent condition.

i know i will have to keep my car for atleast 7 - 10 more years, and IMO right now I have 95k miles, but the car looks almost mint except for the front bumper with all the rock chips. I am planning on getting it refinished, and hopefully i can keep my car looking mint 7 - 10 years from now ... mad props to people who keep older classics lookin fresh all their life

I'll still have my car 10+ years down the road, but it won't be the same color. I plan to repaint it once the paint starts to fade or if the rock chips prove to be too much.

My friend keeps telling me that if I keep my 3G pristine it'll be worth something.
I tell him as much as I wish that would be true, the TL was Acura's best selling car. There are literally hundreds of the same TLs on the roads today. Despite it being the most popular model in their lineup, imo it's one of the best looking.
Nevertheless, I plan on keeping mine for a long time.

I thought the same thing the other day when an older model Lexus SC rolled up next to me (not the real estate agent convertible). It looked brand new. I want to keep my car looking like that.

GODZILLA & 3G TL
Will be most likely keeping mine as well. Agree with the above statements. I paid cash for the car, so no point in selling it really. It's a great all-around car, looks bad ass and I might turn it into a weekend cruiser someday. I just love how it looks, performs, and sounds...especially with the mods I've done. Besides I can count the number of modded 3G's in my area on one hand, so...yeah. Keep 'em clean fellas!

I went to pump gas earlier and saw this old man with a super clean (im talking squeaky clean) and shiny black legend 4 door. Everything was stock and the car looked like what the OP said, just rolled off the production line. I should have taken a picture of it. It was cleaner than my car and paint was like 10/10. I wanna be that guy 50 years from now haha.

hell yeah i wanna be like one of those old rednecks on the autoparts commercials that says his car has over a million miles! but on a serious note the 3G TL is a classic designed car. it will age like wine. cant say the same about the 2G and 4G.
i always see a red mint 80's accord at college. its gorgeous and very inspiring to my TL
