From what I recall, those who got switchbacks and such from VLeds had to make their opening bigger.

Granted all of it didn't go in cause it was still attached to the harness... it fit. Looked like it could go in all the way.
Sorry for my delayed reply.
I used the 7443 V-LEDs switchbacks in my 06 and they fit great.
I have the 27 LED 7443 bulbs in the rear signals. For $20, they look great, but V-LEDs has released their new Platinum Series 7 Watt bulbs at $80/pair, for those who want brighter.
Again, this is a very subtle mod. Most folks wouldn't even notice the difference in bulbs, but the LEDs have a much crisper ON/OFF cycle.

I can't justify spending 80 bucks on LEDs that only come on when I signal.
I also don't know how much brighter the platinum is vs the 27.

I'm contemplating if I should go with the 27 SMT from VLed for $20.00 or to go with Autolumination's 36 "Matrix III" for $9.99/e ($19.98).
I recall VLeds having good service and fast shipping while Autolumination had alright service but took ages for shipping.
(It took nearly 3 weeks to get a replacement bulb).

Anyway, thanks for the reply. I'm still working on my custom tails but will be making my order soon.

did you remember to modify the LED interior bulbs for the map lights so that the light shines downwards? otherwise you will be getting a significantly less output than you should
