Yet another memory seat problem...

My TL is in the 33xxx VIN range and its twice lost its memory settings for the power seat. Anyone else?!? It seems related to moving the seat with the ignition off - like when you're vacuuming the floor and then presto, it forgets where it was and you're left to manually reset the seats. I thought this prob was fixed?

it was fixed but you should bring it in, you might have gotten one with the faulty modules.

Friend of mine in Ohio just picked up their TL and he says that the Seats are remembering fine, but the car seems to be forgetting the other Keyless settings such as lock at 10mph or lock in Drive.

Anyone else had that one ?

I don't have a TL, at least not yet, so I can't address the memory loss issue directly. Since I don't have a TL, I have a question. Does the FOB have an on/off toggle on the back of it? The Lincoln I used to have did, and it would get switched to off sometimes, ie the memory settings didn't work. They weren't lost, the system just recognized the a "driver" wasn't selected when unlocking the doors. If the TL's FOB does have this switch/toggle on the back, maybe you should check it to see if it's on or off.

Memory Settings

My TL has just 1,800 miles on it and it will not retain the memory settings for more than a couple of weeks.

No toggle. You have to hold down the unlock and lock buttons at the same time. The fob will blink once for linked, and twice for unlinked.

For you folks who are having memory seat problems, make them fix it. If it isn't working, then it needs to be fixed.

Sherlock: Is your friend using the same key fob that he set the MID with, and is it linked?
