Yes. Another switchback Thread

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but I have to go there.

I just blew a 60led switchback that I got from autolumination. a lot of people said the 60led's wouldn't work and if it did, it won't for very long.

Well, 5months later one is down.

I have heard the horror stories about autoluminations products and customer service so I want to try another product if anyone has found anything reliable lately.

I know vleds has the 48led's. Has anyone had any success as of late with those, or any other ones for that matter.

I prefer the V1 switchbacks that when the blinker is on it will blink (amber..white..amber..white).

Thanks

I had the v1 switchbacks from VLEDS for some time now and they are still holding on great. Just a few months back is when one of my resistors went out but all it takes is a replacement which cost 7 bucks or so.

I just got the type 1 switchbacks from VLEDs (48). They work great, and I am very happy I choose them. I suggest those.

I was just reading a thread about some of the switchbacks from vleds fading out when sunlight hits them. Apperently they are designed this way, but I didn't see anything about that on there website.

Do your guys V1's doing that?

which ever one blinks white/amber/white/amber (when headlights/parking lights are on) doesn't have the dimming issue, the amber/off/amber/off version has that problem

Nope, I have the latter (60 leds), which are V2, and they are running fine.

They now have 92 leds... wow bright lol.

Yes, v-leds.com

I think the 92 leds is better suited for those with blacked out turn signal housings.

I have 1157 because I threw on 07-08 type-s headlights on my 05 TL.

60LED V1 Autolum, lasted 4 months and one blew. Replacement for half price. Had new and old in for about a month. Same thing happens when I had my emergency signals on. I "figured" the other (old) blew but I was too pissed off to care.
48LED V1 VLEDS for a month and seems to be working fine. Not living proof of V-Leds yet, but I would say go with them. A lot of members have/still have with no issues.

I tried running those 60 LEDs from autolumination but each one kept blowing after a day or immediately putting them in. Then I found out from Chris (autolumination) that the 60 just don't work good with Acuras. They swapped them for the 48's and I haven't had any problems since. I am also using 6 ohm/100watt resistors I ordered from ebay

I swapped bulbs to the one that is working and it works. Plus one resistor is hot and the one that is dead is not! So i just bought new resistor and its normal now!
