Wwyd?

What would you do?

I currently have an 06 AM TL, AT, NAV, with 57K on the odo. No issues, car is in awesome shape. Title is in hand.

Looking at another 06 AM TL, 6 speed, no NAV, with 53K on the odo. Car looks to be in good shape.

The dealer will work out the numbers where I can trade this straight-up, nothing out of pocket. I came from an 03 Maxima with a 6 speed and miss the MT dearly. But, I also heart the NAV in my current TL.

If you had to choose, would it be NAV or 6 speed? Or, wait until I can find both? Or, just be content with an awesome overall car?

PS - Would love a Type-S with a 6 speed, but don't want to spend more money, and they're rare!

Keep your car. Reconsider only if you find exactly what you want instead. After that, keep the car you know the complete history of.

I sold that 06 AM 6MT to the dealer. I used to do reverse donuts in it on the weekends

Apparently you like both the 6MT and Navi. So, I'd hold out to find exactly what you want. Good luck.

I find that very unlikely. Did the dealer actually say that, or are you just guessing?

To a dealer your car is worth wholesale while his car is worth retail. Even if he had an IDENTICAL car to yours, he would expect you to pay him to trade yours for his. So if he really is willing to do a straight up trade, perhaps there is something wrong with his car that he's hiding.

If I had to choose between navi AT and non-navi MT, I would choose the MT, but if you really like navi AND manual then you should probably hold out until you find the car with everything you want. It's out there, you just have to wait.

I'd think the AT with navi would be easier to sell considering there is broader range or buyers compared to a 6MT without navi. Also the navi prolly brings in a higher price tag.

I think your losing value on this one and you should really hold out for the car you want.

its easier and way less expensive to do a navi swap than it is to do a 6mt swap (not to mention no one I know has done it). However, it would probably be worth is to look around for a while and find a car w/ nav and 6mt and pay the difference rather than shell out 2k for a nav swap and all the troubles.

Dealer was going to make it work based on the NAV...I still think it's worth $2K from that perspective.

Thanks for the input, everyone! I'm going to keep my eye out for a TL-S with MT...it would have to be a sweet deal, though, so it probably won't happen.

I guess it's good that I love my current car, regardless! An MT would just make it that much sweeter.
