for 06 TL, the think the most dealer would do OTD is 29000, i dont think they would go down to 28000 otd. also i only want either black peral or white diamond.
and for 07 tl, i think im able to get it otd for 31000.
im lookin for automatic no navi. the base one.

Girlonfire-Im also now looking at 2007 TL
here's 2 quotes I got from a dealer in the Bay
35650 + fees for a 2007 TL type-s with navi
33650 + fees for a 2007 TL with navi
But I'm still leaning towards the 2006...06 TL with Navi/6spd from 33100 to 33300 OTD
Im now trying to figure out if the 2007 is worth the extra $$$

Always buy the later model year
You cannot save enough money on the '06 to make up for it being a year older when you go to trade it in a few years. Just look at the difference in price between any '02 and '03 cars with identical equipment and miles in the Kelley Blue Book. Plus, why not get the new mirrors, MP3 capability, and maybe one of the new colors? You're getting a new car, might as well be new. Just my $.02

I trade in my 04 for an 07 and let me tell you this ,it really worth it .Here is a list of what i like about the 07:
Better leather and softer(won't crack like 04)
switch blade key
softer suspension (ride is more comfortable and steering feels better)
Rims look alot better
daylight driving light and fog goes down where it suppose to be
Transmission is alot smoother than my 04
the steering wheel and speedometer look alot nicer .color is gunmetal rather then black
MP3,WMA, and Aux input
and with navi you have rear camera on reverse, you will regret in the future for not spending another $2000 for the navi.

Just traded my '04 Anthracite for the new Carbon Bronze Pearl with Quartz interior... looks great! Lots of small improvements and only a few downsides....
The 5 speed automatic trans is GREAT... in Manual the shifts are a lot more positive, no waiting.... drive one, you'll see. This alone makes the trade up worthwhile.
The new wheels, lights and side blinkers are all nice. The seats are definitely softer and they have lost the "memory" that my '04 seats had. They also feel firmer... the padding is improved. No long drives yet, but I'm sure it will be fine.
The switch-key is cool... very Euro and the DRL and auto on headlights are finally there.
Oh yeah, the audio now has Dolby Pro Logic II... it makes regular CDs sound more like surround sound... and it "opens up" the sound on XM radio... very nice.... and as a treat, it now has speed controlled volume... the faster you drive the louder it gets... nice concept.
Okay, the downside... even though they have moved the MID controls to the steering wheel and increased the size of the Bluetooth buttons, the steering wheel feels cheaper... it's a three spoke design... looks like it belongs in the TSX! I miss the feel of my thicker four spoke wheel.
The large knobs on the audio feel cheaper... plastic and not weighted as nicely as on the '04.
But the sway bars are thicker and the suspension has been retuned so it drives smoother and tighter all at once. (The Type S is a little too hard, and a little too Pontiac GTO for me... who picked those honey-combish wheels... same guy that picked the new design for the front grill...whatever)
Oh yeah, they added a rubber mat to the floor of the compartment on the center console.. the one just under the radio (non-Navi)... it eliminates sunglass rattle.
See, I told you... lots of little tweeks and a new trans..... and I got it for Invoice $31,350 which included the Dest. Even got a fair trade on my '04 w/47,500 miles... okay last thing, the warranty now goes out to 70,000 miles on the powertrain.... I really like what they've done... NO regrets!

Built-in NAVI is nice but the portables look like a much better deal... they can be moved car to car and used when you start walking around... comes in handy in NYC and Phil. The GARMINs have a nice display... the model 660 is approx. $700 and can fit in a shirt pocket.
Funny thing about NAVI TLs... you pay approx. $2K to get it ($2.5K in '07s) and they depreciate $500 a year... by the fourth year your $ is gone... I'm getting a portable after Xmas... something I can take on vacations, put in rentals, lend to my son, etc. Anybody have a suggestion for one???
BTW, the only fee I have heard of for NAVI is for the instant traffic/weather updates... I don't mind the monthly charge for XM but I won't pay extra for traffic updates since I don't live in a metropolitan area.

The giant touchscreen with large buttons and keys is easy to view and requires very minimal direct attention when I enter addresses on the fly or navigate around my current location to find other routes.
Bottom line, its the easiest to use and the least distracting. Bonus - its not a target for thieves, and i'm never going to misplace/lose it.

Girlonfire ... like kobi stated the only fee is the "real time up to date traffic condition reports". This is included along with xm for the fisrt 90 days from date of purchase. Other than that the navi is free to use. Trust me you should get 1. I love driving with it ... never have to ask for directions or try to find small back alley streets again. And when you need to exit the freeway it lets you know exactly which exit to take and if there are 2 exits with the same name or if you come up to a fork ypu will no longer be confused. The back-up cam comes in very handy at times. I live in SF CA where tight parking spots are a way of life.

The ''07 base TL rides a lot smoother than my '05 does. This should help prevent rattles as well
