Had a go with my friends wrx, either 2010 or 2011. It was actually my friend driving my car. Open road ahead of us and when it turned green we gunned it. My tl got about 1/4 car length jump but that might have been because of the difference in reaction time. All the way to the end of 2nd gear it was dead even then when he shifted to 3rd he started pulling. Afterwards we talked and he said his 1st and 2nd gear shifts werent very solid. I believed him because i know his car shoulf have been faster off the line.

 

Wrx has a stage 1 tune he said, and hes got the oem quad exhaust, i think thats it. He had 1 passenger and my friend drove my tl with me in shotgun and a passenget in rear. Keep in mind it was his first time driving my car and had vsa on(may have harmed takeoff)

you have a lot of "friends" with brand new cars.

 

well im a college student and i go to the car meets at school and a few local ones so i often meet car enthusiasts around me, most of them have pretty decent cars.
my friend's 09 GTR wanted to have a go with me. we were doing about 80 on the freeway and he downshifted to 3rd next to me to taunt me i guess. i downshifted too but then a car got in front of him so he didnt punch it.
yes i know he would beat me but he said he wanted to just try to see the difference.
