My wife can drive the TL anytime (after I actually get it in a month). I definitely love her more than the car .

Actually the TL is both my wife's and my car. We commute to work together and she drives it to work, I drive it home. If you have a wife that does not have the mental capacity to be trusted with a car then why in the hell would you marry her in the first place? Obviously if she is unable to operate the vehicle because she cannot drive a stick, then that is a different story.

If the situation is where it may be a girlfriend (fiances are in the wife category) driving it.... then I would have to say unequivocally "hell no".

That's why I answered "Hell no". She's on probation until such time I decide to promote her and give her the "gold and diamond" award.

Assuming she accepts the ring..... j/k All I have to do is think back to my single years and remember of some of the mental cases that I dated driving my TL..... I don't think so.

She's free to decline the promotion but I may fire her because "I'm most dissatissifed with her work" and may have to find a replacement. LOL! I'm such a bastard!

Actually, I love the girl but I don't trust her driving. Especially not with my brand new TL!!!

my gf for 5 years will not be driving that car at the moment. i explained to her what that car means to me and she's cool with it. besides she likes to play w/ the navi as a passenger anyways.

i always joke w/ her whenever we argue that my TL never argues with me. when i tell it to go somewhere, it doesn't complain - it even gives me directions. it understands me, when i tell it to change the radio/xm/cd it does it w/o talking back

maybe when my car is 3-4 years old i may let her sit in the driver seat. anyways she don't like the TL as much as the tundra she's trying to get. and if she turns around and says i can't drive the tundra, i'd be cool w/ it as well

Hell, which car, the semi-dangerous Turbo Carrera or the mundane, $30K easy to drive TL??

Her SUV cost $10K more than the TL. I just don't want her to use it for a morning commute where she drops crumbs everywhere.

You would find my obit in the Cleveland Plain Dealer if I answered NO. Hence, you understand my reply. ... ha ha; actually, she drives faster than I do.

I can fix the car, I can't fix....

... gotta go!

LOL!!

If she needed to drive it (without me), I guess. Otherwise, I'm kinda lucky, she doesn't like to drive when we're together. However, she's the worst backseat driver (up front). I'm hoping that having navi will shut her up. I can say, "see we're not lost cause it's telling me where to go!"

Who am I kidding, she's gonna find something to nag at me with anyway.

Let my wife drive my Type R all the time...fell in love with the handling and she knew nothing about cars...now when the decision to buy the TL came up, it wasn't even a question.

When the wife or g/f gets to drive, they too get spoiled, and they too can never go back to whatever they were driving.

Whenever an upgrade is in the future, it makes it much easier to get a new ride.

My wife is welcome to drive the TL. A few years ago we bought a truck and I gave her the choice of the Maxima or the truck and she wanted the truck (partly because of where she works). In fact, there are times I need the truck so she is "forced" to drive my car. I taught her to drive a manual transmission several years ago and she really prefers them. When we bought the truck I let her decide if she wanted an auto or manual and she chose a manual (my kind of girl). I've offered to let her drive our NSX but she refuses. I think she is afraid I would get upset if something happened like a rock chip. If I would let her drive the NSX, I would let her drive anything we owned.

Not only would I let my wife drive my TL (although she doesn't really want to), I let my 15 year old daughter drive it on her restricted license! Of course, I have to ride along with her. Now when she turns 16 and can go by herself: that's another story.

Hah I don't even let my husband drive my TL. When he complains I simply reply, "You didn't let me drive the "Z" (350Z) when you first got it. It shuts him right up!

Hell NO. That's why I bought her a car, so she doesn't mess up the interior of mine with crumbs, juice, and paper. To this day, she has never even sat on the driver's side of my car.

I joined Team SSM on Saturday. In one month I will be out of town. My wife said that she plans to use the opportunity to drive my new car. I plan to take the keys with me!
