Since when did MT's cost the same as Auto's? I thought they were typically cheaper :p.

Honestly if I was not going to buy a coupe as my next car, I would definitely have the 4G TL or TL Type S in mind. I personally love the look of the car as to me it looks bold and pioneering. Take a look would u not agree there is no car like it on the road today? A wise man once said "if they dont hate, your not doing it right" looks like Honda knows exactly what they're doing.

Exactly... I also hated the 1995 (or 1996) civic when it was redesigned, but it's like the import poster boy now. The 4G will grow on people and I've always said, the grille will make the difference.. It doesn't look so bad otherwise.

they are god awful, but the interior is gorgeous. on the other hand i do like the new TSX
im getting a loaner on Monday cause my 05 is going in for service, maybe i will get a new TL for they day.

I've wanted to like it, I really wanted all that new stuff it has to offer. I've been trying for months to like it, I just keep epicly failing and going back to the 3gen. I just don't know if I can or not.

Our cars have been out since 2003 and people are still buying 08 type S 5 years later like its the latest design and just came out. Our car was definitely ahead of its time in 2003 and I think this is the same thing. People aren't always too quick to accept change. As someone else mentioned about the bug eyed civics. People hated and i mean HATED that car when it came out and look at it now. Maybe some people just can't see the potential in it until its photoshop'd but i like it the way it is

I don't like the grill or the rear too. The trunk looks like it would be difficult to get a decent sized box into. Besides the look, it isn't practical either.
I expect to own my '08 long enough for the 5G or even the 6G to be out. So, no 4G for me.
Putting the timing aside, the 4G doesn't appeal to me much. I think Acura messed up to some degree if their current owners don't see the new version as something they'd want. It'll be interesting to see how they make cosmetic changes in the next couple of years.

its like marrying an ugly chick with nice personality. after a while you'll get used to her appearance, eventually accepting her since her personality outweighs her physical appearance.

I agree, the 4g is SLOWLY growing on me. If you put the 3rd and 4th gen side by side, our 3g looks a little outdated.

I seriously looked and drove the FWD TL w/nav but I couldn't get by the front end. Plus, it got too big! Ended up trading our 2003 TL-s on an Infinity G37. Still really like my 2005 TL six speed.

It would be too much work to make this car half decent. They should have made a two door tl (CL) with 300 hp awd that would sell like hotcakes..
Acura had it all right with the 3g tl and new TSX they fucked up the rest.

When I saw the 3G TL it was love at first sight, it didn't have to grow on me.
Last week there was a 4G TL parked in my garage next to my car, and looking at them side-by-side there was no comparison. The car is ugly.

F$ck Yeah! Wait a minute, I DID buy one! Honestly, I owned a 2004 NBP/black TL with the Aspec kit with 20'' Asanti's on them for 2 years and now I have a 4G TL Mayan/Umber. I have not even started to mod, yet I have had more compliments on this car than I ever did owning the 3G in 2 years. I dunno what it is about this car!

Nope....the 4G is not for me and I fit the targeted age demographics. I had a 2003 TL-S and was going to skip the 3G and get the second year 4G. Once I saw how ugly the
4G was, I ran out and bought one of the last remaining 3G TL Type S in my area. I just couldn't see myself making payments on something as ugly as the 4G TL. I hope to enjoy my '08 for several years to come. I much prefer the current RL over the TL, so if I had to buy a replacement today I would go with the RL.

They look okay on the inside, but I think the interior layout is terrible and just felt cheap. I had one for a loaner when I took my wife's car in for service. I wouldn't spend my money on either the TSX or the TL. Only choices for me would be the RL or MDX.

the new rl looks like crap too.. Not as much as the 4th gen tl but I like the previous body rl better..
ALso wtf is up with the two rectangular little lites in the middle of the rl.. I saw the car on the street and was like wtf..
It also looks like an accord as well. The previous rl's rear looked more like a mercedez CL
