Would you buy an engine from a tbone salvage TL?
Long story short, head gasket failure on my TL. Coolant getting in one of the cylinders, so I decided I would look for a new engine to swap. Found one for CAD$ 1200 off of a salvaged 05 TL from a tbone accident:
Thoughts? Never really shopped for an engine before so I'm not sure what to look for
- 160k km
- Regular oil changes on carfax from dealership
- Car stayed in Vancouver its entire life, so roads never salted if that makes a difference

Don't forget to consider a J35A6 out of the 05+ Odyssey (LX/EX only) upgrade in your engine search, teh CL dropped one into his 05 TL-6 on the thread below:

that would be nice, but this would be my first swap so I'm not sure if that'll complicate things. Wanted to reuse my tensioner water pump and timing belt, only 30k km on them from the old engine.
