Wish turn signals were LED too
I wish that acura would have made the turn signals LED like the tail lights (ala Caddilac Deville). I love the LED tails on the 04 and just think that having the turn signals follow the same style as the tails would complete the package.
The main reason for LED taillights is speed. LED tailights light quicker than incandescant bulbs, so there's presumably a safety benefit in panic stop situations. Oh, and they look cool too!
LED front lighting would add cost without any benefit other than style, so it'll probably not happen on lower cost vehicles.
Regards,

Regards,
I'm talking about the rear tail turn signals. It would have been very easy to integrate them into the brakes or even just add a few more LED bulbs to the turn signals (since the turn signals are small as it is).
My theory is that Acura did it so they have freedom to play with the taillight design in future "refresher" years (ie. like they did from 01-02 models)

Neon isn't bright enough.

The Ford T-bird a number of years back (very early 90's, maybe earlier) had the first LED tail light (not combo brake/tail and not third brake) it was a mid-cycle refresh and they wanted to add it to the trunk lid and was not designed to have a depth for incandescents. HP developed those also with an ingenous curved and ribbed reflector with the LED's lighting from the bottom edge. NOTE this was not a brake light, where Caddy has the honor of the first LED tail/brake/turn signal light.
Sorry for the history.
Anyway you can get the LED side amber marker to blink if you wanted to. Just search.
