Wish our leather seats were like the Audi's and BMW
Yea I was riding with my cousins in there BMW 3 series and Audi A4.. I like how the leather seats are unlike ours the material is thin and gets wourned out. The leather is thicker what i think... Just saying so yea.......

agreed, the A4 I had before the TL has way thicker leather. They are definitely more wear resistant.
Then again, if I go with the A4 again I would need to deal with problems like timing belt, coil packs, control arms, seals, water pump...
I prefer dealing with TL's problems.

really? one of the main reasons i chose the TL over the 3 series was because of the leather seats. i guess its just preference, but i like how the acura leather is soft and comfortable vs the bmw hard and think i guess. . .

Volvo S60 has the best I've tried
I owned a Volvo S60 for a few years and I've got to say - those were the most comfortable seats known to man. The car a few flaws, but those seats were definitely the best; and I've sat in BMWs, Audis, and MBs. Overall though, I prefer the overall TL experience to the S60 any day.

No, I agree I have had 3 Audis and still have a TT and the leather does hold up much better. But I agree with kennyc the Audi's have issues. Like the two times I was stuck on the side of the road because the fuel gauge was not correct, not to metion the time before that that I had them fix it. And the water temp gauge, which I think is my third issue with it being alll over the temp range one minute to the next. So, it could worse! But I do love the TT as well as the TL! They both have there good points, and bad points.

I've also had two TT's (225 Couple & 225 Roadster) and I've had two A4's 98 2.8 and a 2004 3.0 Ultra Sport.
I personally like the Acura leather than any of those Audi's. The upgraded leather we had in my wifes C230 was pretty nice, but still not as soft as the TL.
For anybody comparing A4 leather the the TL. The A4 1.8 does not have a spec of real leather in it, it's all synthetic leather. The 3.0 has leather only on the seating surfaces only, but it is optional to get premium leather which gives you a little better quality leather and the seat backs, and door inserts are also real leather rather than synthetic.

I would not call vinyl synthetic leather. I like the term "plather"
My last car was 98.5 Audi A4 2.8 w/ leather sport seats. (real ones)
The official term is "leatherette" but faux leather will work as well.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the BMW 3series are leatherette and not 100% leather. At least our perforated leather is 100%. Unless you fork out another $2k on the 3series for the real deal.

Full leather seats are options on 3 series and A4
Standard are cloth seats followed by the option of leather seating surfaces and followed by full leather seats for an even greater cost. The same is true of Mercedes. Example looking at an ML350 in order to get full leather seats one must purchase the $6,500 premium package or you will have to settle for the partial leather seats in the nearly $2,000 trim package.

i always thought in my opinion that the new TL's seats are incredibly comfortable! my favorite part about our seats are the flared out shoulder supports. It adds alot! G35 coupe have very comfortable seats as well, the sedan is lacking however...
