Wiring front Camera power through firewall - where?

Hi everyone! I recently installed a Navtool W/HDMI and 4 camera input. I have wired a backup camera which is a blessing when parking.

I also just bought a front facing camera that would essentially fire up right after getting out of reverse for 10 second then it switches back to Navigation.

ive been trying to find a firewall near the passenger side to no avail. Can anyone please suggest a firewall hole near passenger? I’ve searched using google and using the site. Almost all picture links are expired. And there’s a reply from someone a few years who just said “i have wired through the firewall but I can’t tell you where exactly or take a pic or anything Goodluck” um okay.... then why post?

thanks for any help!

I think most people run wires through the firewall on the driver's side grommet just behind the brake booster. Any reason why you could go there?

look around the left side of the brake pedal, you will see a rubber grommet that has a bunch of wire harness goes through the firewall.

reason is the Navtool box is in the trunk right next to the XM tuner and Nav DVD Drive. I have already wired 12V power and push button through passenger side plastic trim. Would like to keep a clean look by having all those wires through passenger side. Any ideas?

I will look for grommet now

Thats neat! I want left/right signal camera but don’t wanna deal with wiring hell and altering the style of the mirrors... how did you do it? It wasn’t really visible in the video.

Yes I'd also love to see the actual camera!

Update:

Problem has been solved. Right above the factory amplifier there’s a small harness running through to right under the fender. I have removed the wheel well plastic cover to access the other side of the gromet. I got down and dirty but I am very satisfied with the install.

This is awesome! Nice job!

I've always wanted to add a camera directly under the front emblem by cutting a hole into the bottom of the grill.

thank you! It’s well worth it. I’m not brushing curbs anymore when parking!

thanks have you been creeping on my Amazon history? lol. I’ve been looking at the 360 birdsview modules and they are about $400-$500. I will consider it down the line.

I def made sure the HFL works. Love using its dedicated buttons. Every time I go to junkyard for a TL I grab a spare
