Wiper motor adjestment?
Can the wiper blade motors be adjusted? My driver side wiper is hitting the black strip, causing a banging noise and also bending the wiper. Is there a way to adjest it? if so can you post instructions. Any help appreciated

i removeed the cap, undid the bolt, but the arm did n't budge even a bit. Do i have to use alot of force or is there more screws to remove than that single one under the cap (at the end of the arm)

Did you bend the arm upwards to relieve pressure on it and then try to pull it off. You might have to take a flat screwdriver, wrapped in a piece of cloth or something to prevent scratching, and try to pry it up, but I wouldn't use a lot of force. The bolt holding the arm on is the only one that needs to be removed.
If you are still under warranty you should just take it to the dealer. Did this happen suddenly and did you hit something to cause this?

Lift the wiper off the windscreen and set it in the "cleaning position". Remove caps and nuts and then since the arms are on splines you'd have to pry them off the splines. You should mark the position before you pull it off with a permanent felt marker. Notice the position and move it down a spline at a time and test.
If you do remove the arm and move it down one "spline" it would alter your sweep but keep it in mind this will also change the wipers home position by the same amount of sweep.
Won't you dealer take care of this for you under warranty ?

remember my car was totaled by the previous owner, i think they won't cover it because it might have been replaced by whatever bodyshop the guy/gal used.

I didn't remember you had had an accident, so the warranty thing is out. And I must have been sleeping when I replied before because I don't think there are any splines on the wiper arm and the shaft it goes on.
The arm will only fit in one position, and the adjustments must be made at the linkage. See page 22-251 in the link I gave you and it says something about scribing marks on the linkage, so that is where you will have to adjust it. Either something got bent in the accident, or they didn't put it together right. So you wil either have to get in there and do it, or get the body shop to do it.

I stand corrected if there are no splines. Most wipers I've worked on have em.
The manual implies an adjustment can be made on the linkage but it looks like it will effect both wipers at the same time.

this time, i had the wipers in cleaning position, i took the black cap off, undid the bolt and puled straight up at the arm, NADA!!!!!!!! it wouldn't budge even a bit. When i say upwards, i mean toward the sky, no towards the windshield. Any other ideas?
BTW, i only took of the bolt on the driverside wiper, think i may also have to take out the passenger one first?

It shouldn't matter which one you remove first, that arm should come up. That's why I don't think there are any splines and it just gets tightened on to the shaft and is then hard to get off.
