wing question

Would just like your opinion on whether you prefer the full size factory spoiler, the little factory lip spoiler or no spoiler at all? I havent seen too many with spoilers...I'm leaning towards the full sized ones. what yall think?

I vote no spoiler....no point in a spoiler on a FWD car, and IMO they just scream "rice." But I think the little lip one looks less "rice" than the wing.

This question comes out every couple of months.

The bottom line is this: The spoiler does nothing for the aerodynamics of ANY car at highway speeds. They're designed to push the car down toward the road at speeds in excess of 100MPH. So... spoilers in the American market are purely for aesthetic reasons.

Of the people who are attracted to the Acura TL, those who see it as a luxurious sports car will tend to be more attracted to the wing spoiler. Those who see it as a sporty luxury car will tend to be drawn to the lip spoiler or no spoiler at all.

Since the spoiler was designed solely to enhance the aesthetics of the car, and since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then the answer to which spoiler is better is simple. The better looking spoiler is the one that looks better to YOU, the owner. 'nuff said!

Absolutely AGREE! It's a personal preference, that's why I put one on my new TL..
