Cool Windshield chips

Anyone know of a way to blend or somehow diminish those tiny chips on the windshield. Have 1 or 2 exactly in the middle of my vision that are making me go cross-eyed!

Your insurance company may replace it without deductible - AAA does in Michigan.

Are they actual chips or pitting of the glass? Insurance will cover the chips. I don't think they'll cover the pitting though. A glass place might be able to get rid of the pitting by polishing the windshield.

besides insurance covering it, if its small chips the glass shops can fill them in. you cannot tell that there was a chip there when done properly.

Guys..before you let your insurance company replace your windshield..make sure they replace it with Honda glass. Last year..before I sold my 2002TLS...I had my windshield replaced and they used aftermarket glass. I'm glad I sold the car because the windshield wasn't nearly as good as the original. If anyone has questions about what was different, PM me and I'll explain. I just didn't like it, and had I kept the car, I would have not been happy.

yes this is important i found out from a friend who had her insurance replace her windshield that they were going to replace it with aftermarket glass. aftermarket glass is cheaper(hence why insuarance companies use it) and is usually not as good as factory glass. i recommend repairing the chip and not replacing the windshield. if the crack/chip is severe enough to warrant a replacment then i would shop around at different glass shops that use factory glass and is accepted by your insurance company.

You may want to check with your insurance policy or NY State regarding car insurance. I believe that you are entitled to have any parts covered by your insurance with OEM parts.

Depending on how bad the chips are, you may not be able to fill or polish them out - especially since they are in your direct field of vision. I have a 1" spider crack right in mine and am not sure when/how I'm going to get it taken care of. Luckily it's not all the way through the glass, so it hasn't spread.
