First, my apologies if this specifically has been covered before. I see that others have had the issue. But my real question: Is this something I actually need to fix (rather than just tear it off)? Or is it purely cosmetic?

I see most people just try to glue it back, but is this sufficient?

I have searched parts websites for the trim, but I don't know what it's actually called. When I search for trim or weather seal I mostly pull up other sealing parts that don't seem to be quite the same as this.

Thanks! I was wondering the same, but I notice all of these say "inner" but there isn't an "outer" option. I'm not extremely car literate, so it's hard for me to pinpoint the exact part needed.
