Window Visors
Haven't found any threads on uninstalling visors.
Got my 07 TL about a month ago and never really paid much attention to the visors until now, and i think the TL is cleaner without them.
I believe they are OEM. I unscrewed the screws and undid the clips but then i noticed there is adhesive holding it down on the plastic around the window.
Has anyone taken theirs off and did the adhesive leave any residue or discolouration? Did you just unscrew and pull?
Im guessing it'll be similar to debadging.

You will want to apply heat along the adhesive using a hairdryer.
You want to be VERY careful not to discolour/burn the plastic.
Also do not FORCE it, work slowly from one side to the other. Somehow a member on here cracked his taking it off, probably used too much force.
Remove remaining adhesive/marks with goo gone or something similar.
That being said, after you remove them, I know people (in Canada) who would be very interested in taking them off your hands

It's a love or hate thing.
Some people, especially JTS97Z28 hate the look and finds it disturbs the clean lines of the car.
Some people love it, especially the guys who want a really "modded" look because it really adds a different dimension to the car to make it look more aggressive and "grounded".
If you're planning on spending money on visual mods, like a drop, lip kit, new wheels, etc, I'd suggest you keep them.
If you're planning to keep the car stockish and all you have are the window visors - I find they look silly, and would sell them.
Welcome to Acurazine.

Performance aside all I've got planned is putting my black niche wheels on and getting LED fogs, maybe a lip kit. I dont think I'm going to be dropping it. I guess ill wait till i slap the rims on and then see from there. Thanks

I had to reinstall my passenger side yesterday because the adhesive slightly came off.
Here is what you do
Get a hairdryer or heat gun.
Dont use to hot of a setting and just run the heat back and forth where the adhesive is.
EVentually you'll be able to peel the visor off with the adhesive still attached.
If some adhesive remains ( doublesided tape ) just run the heat gun/hair dryer over it again and it will peel off.
You will then have to possibly use Go-Gone and clay bar that area to clean it up.
hope this helps
