Anyone have particulars about getting a Tint job done on my new TL when it arrives. I've never had it professionally done before and dont know much about the process, cost, etc.

I did find a local vendor in my area who uses LLUMAR found here:

Anyone know anything about this? Or have any suggestions or comments relating to window tinting.

I don't know about Llumar, but I had Diamond film put on my TL (20%), and it comes with a lifetime warrantee. This also includes accidental scratching, if a window gets broken, etc.

For all four windows plus the rear done in only one piece I paid $150.00. You can get less expensive tints, but the warrantee alone makes it worth it to me.

Tinting prices vary dramatically with demand. In New Mexico, where everyone has tint on their cars (otherwise you get fried), the price to tint my TL was $120 with the best quality reflective metallic tint from SunGuard with lifetime warranty valid everywhere.

In Virginia and Washington DC area I've found only 3-4 shops and they're all quoting at least $200. Very few people tint here because it's illegal in Maryland and very restrictive in DC and Virginia.
