Window and Moon Roof Visor?
Was just wondering if anyone has had the window visors and or the moon roof visor installed on their new TL? How does it look? Just wondering if they tend to take from the look of the car or if they look just fine? If anyone has a picture they can post please do so.
Thanks

I feel that the visors seriously detract from the look of the car. You should see the smooth lines of the car, NOT some lump added on.
Also, the careful airflow design of modern cars make the function of the visor unnecessary. There is no draft with the moonroof open!

I think window visors detract from the look of the car. Either someone is trying too hard to differentiate themselves from the other TLs on the road, or they worked with a very crafty salesman who convinced them it was worth doing.
Moonroof visors are not my thing either, but I guess some like the way it deflects the wind. I think it reduces the view from inside, and again detracts from the looks of the car.
just my opinion....

I have the moonroof visor because the car on the lot came with it.
I was going to have them take it off, but since it was on and THROWN IN, I left it on. The dealer said it can come and and off without damaging the car.
I havent used the moonroof due to our weather yet, and probably not till Spring, but I do not think the moonroof visor detracts...
In fact, if you look at a parking lot, more and more cars have this on there. It keeps it quieter inside the car.
If I don't like it I will take it off when Spring comes around...
Now the window visors I think are just stupid. I know I and people I know sometimes drive with windows open and arm holding the top of door and you can not do it with an annoying piece of plasic there. Plus, what do these things really do anyway?
Does anyone else have the moonroof visor?

moonroof wind deflector
One of the many improvements on the new TL is in the moonroof. The 2nd gen TLs didn't have the pop-up screen to deflect the wind up. The wind would come in the car and cause negative pressue (very low thumping sound). The 04 TL have the pop-up. Not only does it eliminate the pressue sounds but it also keep most of the wind from entering the moonroof. Therefore eliminating the need for the moonroof wind deflector.
