i just want to know if the diameter will fit with the tips, i know what quality i'm getting Borla make some of the best exhaust parts in the world.

They will fit, but it won't look right if you are still going to use your stock exhaust. It's going to hang to low, and slant upwards which IMO looks retarded.

Look underneath your TL and look at how the exhaust tips (from the muffler cans to the rectangular stock tips) curve downward --> notice how it would be challenging even for a seasoned muffler shop to get your Ebay tips to be PERFECTLY aligned...

I've wanted to change to dual-barrelled (quad tips) on my TL since 2004 when I got it.. but the only thing that has kept stopping me is the stupid design of the current mufflers.

If you are having a shop redo everything, then don't worry about the slant of the oem tips. It isn't very difficult to get them to work out. Just make sure they are not too long.

What do you mean everything? If he's keeping the stock muffler, then it can still be worked out to fit...but it won't look right from behind.
