Why getting NAV?
Why getting NAV?
Why getting NAV? it is much cheaper to get a Tablet PC and it is fairly easy to install a mount on TL dashboard for the Tablet PC...
with Tablet PC you can get NAV function as well as watch DVD and etc....

Plus I think there would be less headaches with a factory installed Nav system... but thats me. Now I'd like to have a Tablet PC in the back of my suburban for Mp3 playback along with other things.
ghetto? it really depends on the mount hardware/stand....
especially i take my tablet pc where ever I go....
It is not that i (Driver) wanna watch DVD while driving, but for the passenger only. It is kinda sucks that TL does not support MP3 and this issue has been complained many times already... having the tablet pc will solve that problem although I am doubtful how good is the audio decoder on tablet pc, after all, it is not meant to use as a multimedia center.
with 3G cellphone and data network coming, use cell phone get online while driving will only become cheaper and easier... for me.. using tablet pc instead of the NAV make sense to me...

I have a tablet pc with gps. It's not very practical for use in the car for a few reasons. Most tablet pc's don't have chips fast enough to do the processing required by a good nav system. By the time it calculates a change in the route, you may be past the direction it gives you. The speakers are also not adequate, especially if you are listening to the car audio system. Also, most tablet pc's don't have transreflective displays and are difficult to see in sunlight.
