Yeah this may be a stupid question, but why can't I send any PMs?? Do I need a certain amount of posts or something? Everytime I go to send one it says i'm not allowed.

 

You have to have a certain amt of posts before the system will allow you permissions to private message. I forget what it is off hand....somewhere around 25 or so I think.

 

I thought it was 30? IDK though, But yup your a noob, need more PMs

 

its in the rules somewhere- then you have to go into My Account and click Allow messages
its after a days membership? cuts down the spammers
I think the rules are at the top of the thread list in the generations

There is also one about how long till post allowed in the for sale areas- same reason

 

Here's the real deal about PM's. Thanks, 01tl4tl to bringing this to my attention.

A new member can't send or receive PM's until they get 1 post and have at least 3 days in the forum. When you get your 1st post, and it's at least your 3rd day here, give the computer time to update, then check your profile under "Contact Info" and it should say "Send a private message to (your user name)", and then you can do PM's.

 

Yeah i'm on day number 2 of membership right now, but I do have 9 posts. So I should be good to go tomorrow or the day after right?

I use the search button non-stop, i've found most of what I wanted to know and if I couldn't find anything after 3 or 4 searches then I made a thread. Trust me I was a senior member on Mazda6Club and I couldn't stand when newbies asked ridiculous stupidass questions that could have easily been found by searching

 

its ok to go to the pic threads and post your car on one, or introduce yourself, or read a thread that gave you info- post your thanks

 

K I can send them now . Now I just gotta wait till the end of the month to sell my Type-S rims.
