Who would win ... TL-S or S2000

This wasn't really a race but just typical Jersey driving. I had an S2000 on my ass the other night and never pulled on him. I only have an intake, all my other mods are sitting in my closet. So basically should a TL-S take an S2000 or does the weight/size issue come into play?

I'd be interested in seeing an s2k go up against a TL-S.

I've got my Icebox and UR Crank Pulley sitting in a box on my dining room table right now.. I wish they were on my car. I'm sure you feel the same way. :P

s2000 would easily beat a stock tl-s. a modded tl-s will hold its own though.

I'm not sure what year it was since he was never in front of me , he was literally a foot off my bumper for 1/4 mile while we are cruising at 60, I then stick my hand out the window to tell him to go on 3 and I only gained 1 car length..I got headers and crank pulley awaiting installation

My buddy has a nice F20. We've raced many many times.

My car has bolt-on's, his F20 has bolt-on's. We were pretty much dead even, until he got new gears. Now he pulls away from me at high speeds. He's a GOOD driver, too.

Honestly, if you're driving a modified Type-S with bolt-on's and run into a stock or mildly modified S2K, don't be afraid. Get a decent launch and you will win.

I would bet on the S2K depending on the year. My bro has an 06' and those are pretty quick.

A colleague of mine has an F20C S2K and was able to run in the 13.8-13.9 range with just an intake. But, he is an exceptional driver. With a stock S2K, modded TL-S and an average S2K driver, I believe a TL-S could possibly have its way against the S2K.

the only s2k you will be able to stick with, with an intake would be the 03 s2k, ive been lookin to race one for the longest time but its hard to find a 03 on the road

theres an 03 around my way with exhaust and intake and its pretty quikk

and i dont think those numbers are quite accurate because the 03 s2000 revs to 9k if im not mistaken and they are a hell of a lot smaller then the TL so im sure he would give a stock TL-S the business but on the other hand if the TL-S is modded its a different story

like i said the only way to find out is to tag one up on the road and post the results lol

I haven't actually RACED an S2k. But someone in my old neighborhood bought a new one this past year, its stock, except for those Ricks S2k badges, and he drives around like he's the shiz. So I saw him leaving the neighborhood once and once we got on the highway, he took off, and i took off right behind the other. We didnt get to line it up and go at it, but there was no point where I felt like he was pulling away from me.

so sorry mang. S2000 with a decent driver would still pwn a modded CL/TL-S. although a modded 6 spd w/good driver would probably take one. especially a S2K w/bad driver.
