So hopefully by mod November my 07 TL will be complete with the mods i want to get, which is type-S with ATLP Quads with J-Pipe.

I got 2 friends that have 04, and 05 TLs, but they are stock. Sometimes I wish I can just drive down the road with other packs of TLs that are modded. You know... ya...

Anyway, besides the Acurazine community, any close friends of yours also have the modding bug like you? I find it fun to do it with a friend, instead of doing this alone.

My friends drive 99 Ford Tauruses and Malibus and generally don't know a dipstick from a spark plug. Wish I knew a fellow TL fanatic personally though. My neighbor has one.

i convinced 3 of my buddies to get the 3g TL. in the process of modding. well 1 is a DIY kinda guy, 2 is a pay to not mess up his car kinda guy. 3rd is a " i don't want to make my car less classy kinda guy, but i am the only one that floors it kinda guy."

I have one friend with a TL, and he is kinda modded. I did cleared headlights for him and installed blue leds, and lower led strip. Also took him to a shop and told them what to do to make his exhaust sound good, but that is it. I wish he did more.

 

same here, i am the one that also has been getting 15 MPG along with burning 2 quarts of oil every couple of weeks (and no the car does not run bad, it is just my driving especially since i converted it to a 6 speed )

Im real good friends with ABP_04TL and MAC TL, my cousin Acpimpin, and we're all modded. Usually when me and ABP_04TL riding, we turning heads...

Most of the mods I've done, I've done with people I've met off AcuraZine and they've modded their TL's as well.

You need to get your freinds on HERE. They'll get the mod bug, same as everybody, and then you'll have a pack of modded TL's to drive down the road with.

I dont have friends with TL's. And it's kind ogf hard to meet with anyone here since im from PR. I only know Chapu and another person here from PR.

So it sucks

 

at school no one has a tl. its basically two and they are both professors. the other somewhat TL's are owned by international students who don't seem to want to converse about cars.

 

A little off-topic, but where I work I wouldn't be surprised if there are 15-18 TL's in the parking lots on my side of the campus. I think there are maybe three TL-S's and the rest are bone stock, base models. It's the same on the roads in the area: few S-types and it's very rare to see a modded TL. I find I'm modding my car sooner rather than later just to make mine my own, because it's a fairly popular car around here.

Can someone please convince this man. He has 4K+ posts on this site, yet the only mod he did were tints. He told me about wanting to get the aspec body kit and thought it would be really fun to install that with him, but then he got married.

 

I see so many TL's that go unmodded. You know they don't have the passion for their car like members here on Acurazine. It seems kind of sad when I see a base TL, no tints, nothing done to it. I mean, at least get the thing tinted....

3 of my good friends have acuras. well i should say 2, one had a 07 type-s and decided to total it one night.

other 2 have tsx's, but they are not into modding. they just got the car and are happy with it i guess.
i wish they were as passionate about it as i am, oh well...i've got a good friend who helps me out whenever i need it for free. people like that are hard to come by, especially one that owns a bodyshop and an ultimate set of tools.

for me, part of the fun of owning a TL is doing what you want with it to make it yours, to make it unique and distinguished from the crowd.

there's countless things i want to do to mine, but with moving in the next week, girlfriend holding out her hand all the time, and a somewhat seasonal job, it's hard to do everything i want. as long as i accomplish one thing per month, i'm happy.

that way i can stretch my wallet and always have something to look forward to.

 

Most of my friends used to have TLs that were modded, but they've sold it for something else or just thinking about selling theirs. I'm the only modded TL in my parking garage at work and it's great to see heads turn.

 

My good friends drive Domestics and Mercedes so I get made fun of a lot when I drive the TL. A Z06, CTS-V, CL-65AMG, and a TL .

 

I just had acura_dipset_tl up to my house last weekend! We ran a 4gauge power cable to his trunk and installed HID reverse lights! It was a fun day in my driveway.
Funny thing is, when we were done, I said, "Shit! We should've taken pics!"

Anyway, SharksBreath you need to come out with us one day for a mod day---I have a set of H-Tech springs I need to get installed, but I need help/experience from someone. All of my friends only have experience RAISING their cars/trucks! HA!
I have also met with acura_dipset, AKPlaya, ElectricRed and upnout at the Towson Tuning Meet a couple of weekends ago. We were reppin AZ pretty damn hard, if you ask me. The only other large grouping was a bunch of Infinitis, but those guys seemed a bit stand-offish

Now to stay on topic ive meet alot of the VA,PA,DC guy's and at least 15 too many to list, and only 1 or 2 from MD even though that's my home state seems like the MD guy's rarely want to get toghether lol.
