none yet - not saying there aren't any, but nothing audible during normal driving conditions. Thought I had one late yesterday and early this am, but I think it turned out to be the mirror on the passenger side visor, after I opened it and closed the visor - it went away.

So far for a 13K vin I'm holding steady with only: tire issue (screw it - its almost summer), headliner - fixed myself with epoxy and memory - dealer fixed. Its all good....

tbone,

your headliner fix, can you elaborate how? pics. thanks also, did you have any problems with a rattle in the dash (far left)? to me the dash issue sounds like something in the vent. hmmmm

sure - check out this thread...fix is holding steady - kinda figured it would, this stuff is like iron. I remember as a kid my Dad always putting this stuff everywhere - kinda like the Duct Tape of glues! No rattle in dash - had a creak one day but pushed down between window and glass and that went away. Fluxes in temp can bring more to the surfacr. Check out this thread (like #3 is my details) for the headliner fix....good luck.

OK, how about this one....less than one week old and a stone ship in the door already....also when you slam shut the right rear passenger side door you hear something make a serious "vibration" almost a mettallic sound. Anyone ever heard of this?

Could it be the Acura name plate (as you step in) is it loose maybe?

DGS:

I heard the same vibration noise on my rear driver's side this am. I haven't seen any other posts regarding this as of yet. It sounded to me as if it was coming from just above the rear wheel. Hard to say though. I didn't have time to check into it but will do so tonight or tomorrow. Other than that i haven't had any rattles. I have about 4k miles.

It could be from the door panel or seatbelt.

If you lift up the buckle head of the seatbelt of passenger and make it stay on the top, do you still hear that noise???

A poll! A poll! Thank God, a poll! We'd gone something like a whole week without one. I was starting to get worried.

TLGator, you're lucky... not my car. :o

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, where is POLL? Didn't someone complain too many POLLs months ago?

POLL isn't in vogue when this feature is not NEW...

My car with 500 miles has a couple of minor rattles that come and go. The rear deck and front passenger door seem to be the primary culprits.

Rattles and more!!

To the 50%+ that don't - congrats! You should all feel very fortunate and I hope your luck stays with you. I have a bunch (getting hard to keep track of them all) that I am waiting to get addressed when the two parts that I have on back order come in - one to fix the flashing MIL and the other to fix the rattle in the dash (wiper switch) - Official part names to be posted when I get the work done.

If I drive on a road where one side has a dip like you would have to help drainage to a sewer, my TL makes cracking noises in several places. I am sure that many would say that this is not "normal driving conditions" and I agree, but this cannot be considered the norm for a car of this "quality".

I greatly appreciate anyone who takes the time to let me know if they have had this issue or not.

Still Lovin my TL

No rattles after 8500 miles and 5 months.

For the rattlers, you're not talking about that ball point pen bouncing around under your arm rest, are you? Just kidding (may not be all too funny if you're fighting this issue).

Try to lift the seatbelt's bucket head of the passenger side to the top and see if this can help.

Usually it's one of the noise source.

AMEN BROTHA!!!! That is why I went back to Honda and now that I spend the cash to go to ACURA, I get the first car with this problem. OMFG this is just not what I expected at all. I hope there comes a day when I can fill this message board up with the energy I felt when I drove off the lot with my TL. What a car, what a car! I hope ACURA steps up and does the right thing.

600 miles in so far and a slight and occasional rattle in the rear end. I think it was self-inflicted though when I over-pushed the bass and subwoofer. I wanted to test the speakers out. I must say, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with the sound system.

2200 miles, HP tires, 6mt, anthracite/ebony, navi, NO RATTLES Yet!!

I drive easy on rough roads, have done this with all my previous cars, and don't drive fast over railroad crossings, so I try and prevent the rattles before they even have a chance to start. It's worked well in the past for me......prevention is the key!!

I've got that passenger seat rattle that keeps telling me to "slow down, slow down....." Come to think of it, I've got that rattle in all my cars. I never hear it when the wife's not with me.

Every once in a great while, I'll hear a very faint rattle from the passenger seat/dash area for a few seconds, but it goes away.

Got my car in late March, 2500 miles, and no rattles or squeaks whatsoever. This car is "tight" and was one of the reasons I bought it after test driving 3 different TL's from 3 dealers in two states. All the test drive cars impressed me with their rigidity and tightness. I had 2 older model TL's, and they were not nearly as "tight" as the '04. I believe Acura states in their literature that they did strengthen the torsional rigidity of the'04 by some degree, and to me it was quite noticable. I don't know if I'm lucky or what...but my car is really tight and I'm very happy with it so far. BTW...it was built on a Tuesday or Wednesday if that matters, and it's Anthracite/Ebony/6mt/Nav/HP tires. It's one awesome car, and I get compliments almost daily from other people when they see or ride in it.

I notice some rattles in the center dash board where the center speaker is (especial if I turn off the music). I punch the center speaker and it goes away for few sec. It's strange! However, when I am on freeway, I dont hear the rattles. The rattles occured yesterday! Does anyone know what the cause and if the dealer can correct this problem?

Rattle from center console

I've got 2500 miles on my TL and I've been noticing a rattle coming from below the radio. I've been able to stop it by putting my hand in and pushing up on the inside of the larger compartment (the one without the DC12V outlet). I'm thinking of getting it fixed by the dealer, but I'm not sure if it's worth risking them taking apart my center console and ending up with more problems. Any suggestions?
