Who financed your TL?
Who financed your TL?
Hello All,
I am looking to buy a TL soon (as soon as the 06's roll out) and i need some help. For those of you who financed your car, whats the lowest interest rate you got? Did Honda motor corp finance it? I need to know how low they can go on financing after i finish negotiating a price. So far they quoted me 33700 for a '06 TL with navi AT. But i have to wait till they come in Sept. Thanks!

Interest rates vary like the stock market. It will depend on your credit score and general market conditions when you buy. You can't lock in the interest rate now for a purchase in a few months.

Thanks!
Thanks!
1.9% finance rates on the maxima are factory subsidized.
The TL currently does not have any factory subsidized financing(due to its high demand), therefore your rate would be the lowest available through your bank or credit union. Current best rates are in the low 4 % area.

If you didnt finance dont anwser...I got 3.9 % with Wachovia Dealer Financing for 60 months last July.
re: Who financed your TL
Capital One (through Costco Membership) financed for 4.1% at 60 months. Very easy process and you can get an answer in 15 minutes via their website if you are a costco member. Your credit score and length of term will affect the percentage you are offered. You can lock your rate for 45 days and they mail you a blank check. This may be helpful because Honda financing will try to counter offer your rate and this may help you get an even lower rate. Make sure that you get a simple interest loan so you can pay off the vehicle without any pre-payment penalty. Good luck!
Thank You for your responses. When late august, early sept rolls around i will start shopping around for deals on interest rates via credit unions/financing companies. I like the idea of having a low rate (4% seems to be the norm for now) going into the dealer and see if honda will try to counter offer a lower rate.
Mine was pretty high at 6.79% through Honda which was not bad for 72 months at the age of 21 with a low credit score. They originally gave me 7.19 but I complained. They worked there ass for me. Of course I put a big cash down. Just last week I refinanced at 3.9% for 78 months through my Credit Union. (credit score jumped 156 points!) paying debt off helps!. I know 78 months is a lot but I had no choice. (only had the car for little over a month) I could afford 48 months but since my debt to income ratio was right at there limit they gave it to me that way. I will get it paid off much sooner.

I walked into the dealer with a blank check from Capital One good for up to $50,000 and the rate was 3.5% for 60 mos. The dealer asked if he could try and do better. I said, "Go for it."
He faxed my app to several places and got about six quotes back in 15 mins. The best was "Onyx Acceptance" for 2.75%/60 mos. I never heard of them but I would let Martha Stewart hold my paper for that rate.
BTW, I am averaging 18% on my stock portfolio for the last 3 years. Why would I take my own cash out of there when I can use someone else's money for 2.75%?
Paying cash is not what it's all cracked up to be.
And if you don't believe my portfolio numbers, check a chart on Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD).
