G35 6MT/5AT? TL 6MT/5AT?
Yet, your heavy 19 will slow you down so put light weight 17" rims.

Well, what year? I hear the newer ones have a better top-end vs the 03-04's, but they do give up some low-end torque for that added top-end. 05'-06's 6mt's dyno 245-249rwhp stock(249 being the highest I've seen on g35driver.com). So i'd say it's probably a drivers race given that the G35 coupe has intake and exhaust. Obviously the best way to find out is take it on Rt. 80 or the track lol.

With i/e G35 6MT I've seen dyno 240whp/230wtq SAE and while peak numbers don't mean anything , traction is your enemy. I'd say from the roll you'll be a clear winner (assuming good shifting), from the dig he'll get you from the line due to RWD and strong powerband and you might catch him eventually but if you'll take him or loose who knows.

from a roll or highway....all day long
from a dig, if you can handle/max out ur clutch efforts w/o mad spin, i'd say u. that's hard to do tho cuz u have more tq now. ur low rpm numbers are probably higher than ur peak before.

240whp/230wtq is clearly on the lower side for an 05-06', not sure though which G35 he's racing. I've personally seen an 05' 6mt with a couple of bolt ons: filter, exhaust, Test pipes w/ resonators; dyno 255whp/234wtq on a dynojet.

I wish I could watch, this should be go. I think you'll take him from a roll, but not a dig.

Each dyno varies and cannot be compared as such including different type. The 240ish/230ish numbers (ok 244whp/229.8wtq '05 6MT sedan) was running on Dynojet SAE with 80 degrees and humidity. Was he dynoed on 60 degrees weather, low humidity and cool down car it would've been 253/233.

To be honest I can't recall the weather that particular day, all I know it was last April and the numbers the G put down.

Well I have the results! we first went from a roll and I had no problem pulling about a car on him in third gear alone. I just stopped and we both admitted that I had him from a roll. Next, we went from a stop. he initially jumped on me. I was at his rear bumper and from then on i just gained ground. at about 80 mph I had him by about 2 car lengths. One of his friends got it on video. i am going to see if he will give it to me but he was kind of embarressed. he thought he had this one in the bag from a dig. to be honest I thought he did too!

oh yeah. i forgot to mention. shortly after thatI got spanked, I mean spanked by my buddies modded evo. those things are nasty. I pulled his car down the track last year at 12.4 before his turbo upgrade! he is an okay driver. his best at the track was a 12.9 before the turbo upgrade

Well done. I can't believe you took him from a dig.

As I predicted from the roll, and he took you from the dig as expected but due to your nice high-end you pulled eventually but 2 cars hmm that's a suprise since third and forth gear in G35 is very strong. I'd like to see it on video.
Good kill . Personally have no problem beating auto TL in my auto G35.

And invite him on the track for precise timing next time .
