That's not stretching the truth one bit. My '95 red Miata that I built for auto-xing had front and rear faded bumpers. A quick and don't-try-this-at-home fix was applying Armor-All to them. Looked brand new for several days until the solution seeped into the plastic. The guy who bought the car probably would have had to sweat the bumpers before he got them repainted.

One more thing to add... I've got the same issue with my '04 WDP. Definitely a noticeable difference, with the rear being a lot worse. It depends on how the light hits it. I made a cardinal sin and drove, inspected and purchased my car at night under the dealership lights. It was not noticed by me until I read about it here. So, of course, I look at it now with disgust. I've learned to live with it. Hopefully, the a-spec underbody kit will cover some of that up enough to where it isn't so "there".
