where to get clear diffusers???

well after searching for an hour with no results i figured its time for some help, I have an 05 WDP and doing full headlight mod (angel eyes, blacked out, led's, switchbacks, zkw lenses) however i dont like the look of the amber diffuser removed but i did notice that the tls came with a clear diffuser...so my question is, where can i buy a pair of JUST the clear diffusers?...help is much appreciated

These can be made...
But may cost a bit.

I may be able to get them made and a member here named "Lights" can also get them made.

Otherwise... if you can't find someone to make them you'd have to find someone who is willing to sell them from their Type-S

You should have told JNC to do them like he did mine. Why did you tell JNC to take them out?

My contact went MIA.
he told me 50-100 for a few hundred of them.
But since he's been gone for a month I'm going to need to find a new contact to get these made if I wanted them.

Definately big money to be made if someone can make these. I am surprised nobody has made them yet. These have been in very high demand for the past couple years now.

I would imagine JNC has a box full of amber diffusers. He kept mine, but I didn't say I wanted them back. So I guess that's my fault for assuming he'd ship them back.

I forgot about the demand for these. I actually had Rich at hidillusionz.com do mine when I had him do my retrofit. I can ask him about it again if you want...or you can send him an email on his site requesting them. I think I mentioned this before but I don't think it ended up anywhere.

One more try?

You should try the switchbacks with the amber diffusers---they look nice.
Marcus, switchbacks are the parking/turn signal LED bulbs that shine white and blink amber.

I already called a plastics manufacturer in socal here. The tooling is going to be the mega expensive part so they parts won't be super cheap. But I think we can get some really nice parts done for reasonable for you guys! We can do a couple colors too probably.

What is also 'mega expensive' is the mold... for some reason that costs a lot.
Seems like I don't really need to carry on with my side/contribution to getting clear diffusers anymore.

the tooling he is referring to includes the mold, in order to make something in mass production they have to create a mold that will work with the machine that does the actual work

different colors sounds interesting, although other than clear, smoked and amber, it would be hard to keep it legal

what other color could you possibly want? if you want smoked just used some vht night shades and smoke it yourself to the level you want. Or paint some of the reflector behind the diffuser like I did. looks nice.

i've tried that here locally long time ago and i didn't have the "mega expensive" fund upfront. I started a feedback thread for interest, there were some, but no enough to cover the cost.

good luck and let us know!!!
