Where to get brakes?

Guys,

I have an 04 TL with a manual. I would love to put brembo rotors and pads back on the front since the previous owner went cheap. Where is the best place to get them at a good price?

Brembo makes the caliper, but I believe Akebono the pads.
OEM parts:
45022-SEP-A60 PAD SET, FR. 001 2004 TL 217.00 162.75
45251-SEP-A51 DISK, FR. BRAKE (17 in.) 002 2004 TL 137.73 103.30
43022-SEP-C00 PAD SET, RR. 001 2004 TL 65.00 48.75
42510-SEP-A00 DISK, RR. BRAKE DRUM IN 002 2004 TL 106.65 79.99

As the OEM parts are very expensive $770.76/$577.99 take a look at aftermarket products. Many threads on performance pads and rotors, but also take a look at RockAuto for various products that are available.
Looks like code 152305767737371 (7/28/2013) can be used for an additional 5% discount.

Oop. I was going to say parts geek but forgot you said you had a 6MT.
I'm not sure if you can still get the brembo rotors from anywhere.

Don' know why you're hung up on the name Brembo for rotors/pads.
I don't believe they even make a standard rotor for the Brembo caliper equipped cars, and the rear standard Brembo rotor is a run of the mill product at about $35.00. Look elsewhere.

XLR8 package with slotted rotor will solve the issue.

Certainly didn't know that. On their site they advertise the Brembo disc brake pad as a premium ceramic OE alternative and can be had for $55. Big difference from OEM.

I wasn't challenging your statement that the OE pads were Brembo, only was questioning the difference between OEM and part store costs of said pads.

We offer a brake package for the 3G TL with Brembos specifically for AZ members:

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-304786.aspx

These Acurazine brake packages are designed to improve braking performance and durability at a reasonable price. The packages include Powerslot/STOPTECH performance rotors and STOPTECH Performance pads. All of the rotors have a black e-coating on the hubs and vanes and an advanced alloy composition. The Powerslot slotted rotors for the front of most Acuras also have a Power Alloy composition and a curved vane construction, which helps reduce heat in the brake system. The STOPTECH Performance pads are a para-aramid compound, which has great initial bite and long-term performance and lower dust and noise than most aftermarket brake pads.

IMO OEM is the way to go. I have tried a few other pads and none of them has the bite of the OEM Brembo's. I tried ceramic pads once on my Type S and even though they did dust less, I immediately saw a loss in braking performance. I will not use anything but OEM brake components in my Type S.
