I've seen everyones post about the clear bra but I can't seem to find out where to buy them. I called the dealer and they have no idea of what I"m talking about.

That's just me though.

Just read the Motortrend article where they mention that ... "downsides are that it's much less reflective than paint and looks dull under certain light." So is this really noticeable on the car?
As much as I like the idea of protecting the paint, I wouldn't want it to look like those people who put plastic covers over their couches/chairs. tacky!!

I know some people on here have had some sort of film installed and you can't even see it in the pics they post.

Try www.xpel.com and they have a source for a local installer.
I think my clear bra is great, and it is exceptionally reflective with a couple of coats of Zaino on it.

I'm a newbie...so forgive me if this is a stupid question.
Will the clear bra effect the ability to detail the car? I mean, can I wax the surface and achieve the same shine as the other non-coated parts of the car.
Thanks!

The only effect it will make is when you are waxing around the areas. Make sure the wax doesnt get in the edges. You can wax the product as well and if you maintain the car and bra it will look great for a long time to come.

Got mine installed last Friday at Touch of Class car wash in Smithtown, LI
Looks great. Cost was $495. Got the windows tinted at the same time. I want to Zaino the car in a week or two. You cant see the bra most of the time. When the car is wet you can see a difference in how the water beads up. The bra comes about half way up the hood. Shoul offer great protection.
The only problem with the X-Pel kit is that there is no piece to cover the area of the bumber below the trunk. I'll have to go to invincashield for that part and put it on myself. I recommend the bra, though. I used to have black vinyl bras on my cars :yack:
