The 07 is no slouch. They run around a 14.7@95MPH

I seen this modded rsx on the freeway put this wrx to shame! he would slow down and wait for it to creep up, then wot and leave him behind!(he did this about 3 times) I tried to keep up as much as I could(in a tsx loaner) but I saw the rsx pull on it every time!

^^ It's pretty much a TSX bottom with an RSX-S head. That was a pretty good, inexpensive setup until the 06 TSX cams came out. With bolt-ons and K-pro, it can hit low 13's easily.

A lot....... of cars. Can't even count.

But do you drive the stick?...... if not, you can only beat few cars.

I really hate to see TL-S AT get beat by it's little brother Honda Accord V6 MT.

This is what I mean. You want to stay up with the fast class, MT is required.

within seven posts you already are starting in with people.

its rare when someone with only 7 posts comes onto a site and talks like this. very argumentative

consider this your first warning...

If I am not mistaken, they have the same powertrain as the SRT-4. So, though not particularly quick in stock form, I am certain they can be made into monsters. Do not sweat that too much.

LOL!!! I'm not sweating it too much. I took off before him from a dead stop and then I watched him hand my ass to me as he effortlessly rolled passed me. It was actually kinda funny!

Damn a 17yr old with an 07' TL-s? When I was 17 I had a rusty v6 camaro, complete with a smashed in driver's side door! I was takin' girls out on dates, they had to climb thru the drivers side!

back in NY i was driving with 3 other ppl in the car, and this italian guy with an asian (bangs) haircut pulls up to me in pre-95 model Eclipse....and believe it or not, he starts pumping korean rap out of his car (no joke, and he was NOT asian)...i'm thinking to myself..okay this is gonna be easy...i let him punch it, thinking i can still smoke him on a slow roll, i easily catch up to him, but by now he's shifted to at least 4th, and i'm still sitting in A/T third maybe?, then i hear this spooling sound....and he blows by me....korean rap and all blasting.... needless to say, it was an interesting/embarassing experience.

a better story is while i'm in Missouri (i goto school here), i'm driving back from work, and some old white guy in a 911 turbo (didnt get to look at the headlights to clearly, but they looked like the 2001 model)....pulls up next to me and he motions for me to roll the window down, he tossed into my passenger seat a roll of cash and said "just have fun".....i was like oh my god...i think we were even for about a 1.5 seconds, and like, as each .5 sec ticked away after that, the car pulled exponentially futher away from me.....needless to say, i made a nice 100 bucks for losing to a supercar ~ i've been driving down that road even when i dont have to....lol

This isn't in my T.L but here goes. I was in my 68' Lemans with a 400 V8 with headers and flowmasters. I thought I was the ! I was on mission Blvd driving towards San Bruno when some little rice rocket CRX pulled up to me. He asked me what am I pushin' so I told him to find out. We both take off at the light and I get the jump but he catches up and passes me! I couldn't believe it( I didn't know anything about cars and I thought any 6cyl. would beat a 4cyl. and so on) We ran again but the results were the same. I was pissed! I asked him to run again but he told me to put up my pink slip! I shook my head and tried to take him one more time but I gassed it too hard and my drive shaft fell out What an embarrasing night!

you shouldn't under estimate those CRX's! I seen a heavily modded one take a newer vette on the freeway. Of couse it probably had another engine in it so typically it's not a CRX anymore....

CRX's are so light! They are like 800kg (2000lbs?) and in stock form they have 150hp -160hp already from that B16 engine. Add a turbo in it and probably strengthen the engine a bit and you will easily see 500 reliable hp..and again...that power has to carry only 2000lbs.

500hp in a car like that is insane! Isn't that why they stopped making the mr-2 turbo's?

lol may be that's one of the reasons, but I think another one is that the MR2 is MR (obviously), and with 500hp...that's just too much for the chassis. From I have heard, the SW20 MR2's chassis is pretty weak. Another reason could've been poor sales?? Anyways, I'd love to work on a crx as a project car

I'm sure you could reinforce it to be more sturdy. My neighbor's friend had a 95 twin turbo one (don't know if it came with it stock) but he said it was pushin' close to 650hp

Like I said I've seen a purple CRX(heavily modded) walk this newer red corvette on 680 San Jose. I was in my work van so I couldn't catch up but the CRX was at least 3 sec. ahead of the vette. They both blew by me at 100+mph Crazy huh! So you never know what's under the hood.......

^U never know but they were(CRX & vette) kind of reckless to speed down the freeway at those speeds in the daytime..... The CRX had a white interior w/ exhaust and maybe turbo but that's all I could tell since it was pretty much a purple blur (I was doing 65mph and they were at 100+!)

I drive a VERY slow Ford Focus when I commute. That's when I get Scion's, Corolla, Civic's trying to race me. But when I'm in my new car (07 T.L AT) I never seemed to get that. It's pretty annoying. So the rare times I'm in my T.L and a punk scion wants to race, my wife would be in the car(she hates racing) so I just let it go

Maybe this would count as an embarrasing loss... I was at a stop light and this scion XB (ugly yellow shoe box) starts revving his engine at me. I thought, finally I'm in my T.L and I'm gonna smoke this guy...... I put her in ss mode and waited for the light..... Green light he jumps off the line and I stay put(I'm in neutral) I guess I got too excited at the thought of smoking a scion...... Oh well mybe next time

not to be a dick......

but most of these losses are due to bad drivers?

You guys should really look into NASA Midwest or autocrossing. A better driver=a better racer and vice versa.
