I prefer the "My Shaldan" apple fragrance. It's cheap and effective.

However, a personal rambling: The best air freshener is no air freshener. I've found that using air freshener eliminates the "new car smell" more rapidly than normal. Air fresheners are nice, but I find that I like my car's original new car smell better. I've had my car for over a year now, and the new car smell is still there. (Other people's comments, not my personal opinion). I will not use any air freshener until I know that my new car smell is all gone. Just my humble opinion.

My new car smell was poisoned by my black all weather mats which make the car smell like a tire factory.

I don't like air freshners. If I need air freshners then I know it's time to sell the car.

I don't smoke and I keep the windows closed most of the time. I also notice that if I keep the vents open it tends to keep the car fresh longer assuming you change your cabin filter all the time.

LOL ... I had the same issue when I did this to Honda Pilot. I had to take em out and wash them twice with scented dish soap and hanged them under the sun to dry

I don't have one...my car still smells like the new car smell from the factory 1 year 8 months 5.5 days later

New Car Smell air freshener is the most garbage artificial air freshener that is out there

morning fresh tree air freshener is good or MY SHALIDAN is also good.

A while back I posted about how I make my car smell. It was closed and moved to ramblings - which is probably where this will turn up - but if your bored at work (like me right now)here you go -

The link is here: https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/driving-cross-country-164628/

For those of you who don't wanna navigate away from the page here is the content of the page:

so im out last night with my gf and 2 of her friends, full (sexy) car, chillen with some girls - the envy of the town right? I came up with this idea when I was getting the mildew smell from the cabin filter.... but this only works with the right credentials...

First: you need to know how and when to

Second: You need to dress like your car... your car (TL) is hot, black dress pants, shoes, belt, and (dance) club shirt opened at the neck is appropriate wear for Friday night pimpage...

Third: Get some good cologne, not that addidas crap, I mean some good @$$ cologne! you dont wanna smell like strong perfume, because that is meant to cover a bad smell up... you need this cologne to be soldiers marching in that girls nostrils making her fight them off for the urge to jump you.... okay im done - you get the point.

I wear a cologne called Domain. It's made by Mary Kay - laugh it up now... just dont let your girls near me (just kidding). No, it's a guys cologne, even though its made by a girls company - but who would know better than a girl what a guy should smell like... right?

So I'm on my way to pick up my gf and her friends and for me, like any guy, even though i have a girlfriend, its always a good thing to know that you are still getting the attention of other girls.... its a guy thing as im sure you know.

I sprayed - rather DOUSED - my air vents with Domain... straight up wet, semi-dripping vents. now you probably wondering - "WTF... dont overdue it!!" - but thats just it... you need to roll down all your windows, and let your air run for about 5 -10 minutes full blast... by the time its done you shouldnt be able to tell the vents were wet. then you turn the air off for a couple minutes (this is about a 10-15 minute process... plan accordingly) roll the windows back up, and put it on full blast for about a minute. this releases the initial "Blast of Sexiness". you dont want the girl(s) to smell this because it will hit them like a nine iron to the forehead... BUT it puts the overall scent in the car. then you can leave the windows down or up... but when they get in the car, turn the air on lightly, with the windows up. then out of the corner of your eye, watch her face... it will hit her like a freight train... but.... if she says something... you overdid it... even if she says it smells good... you don't want to hear this YET - because you want it to be subtle at first - so you can build it up... after about a half hour in there, THATS when you want to hear it... because you know that she has been smelling it (subconsciously) and lovin it... and one of the biggest turn ons women have is scent... you get the right pheromones goin, you go it made, son!

it might take some practice, but once you did OOOOO WEEEE your golden!

Just thought id put in my if any of you have a hot date tonight.

***NOTE: I would NOT try this with any new cologne that has not been female approved!

I took a scrub brush to them with scented dish soap in hot water twice (bathtub) and they're soaking in hot water now with some baking soda. I'll let you know if all the scrubbing and effort was worth it later today after they dry.

I wonder if that smell can be harmful since it could be some sort of chemical residue left over from their manufacturing. I could be wrong.

I don't use an air freshener. I just make an effort not to fart in the car too often. Also, any time there is any food that might have any aroma, it goes in the trunk. My TL has never been through a fast-food drive thru and I will never take it to one.

I use an air freshener about as often as I use men's cologne or an after shave.. which is to say, never! I can't stand that crap on me or in my car. I am "blessed" with a heightened sense of smell and there are times (as in rather often) when my nose can be a burden. You wouldn't believe the things I can smell.

Simply Google "air freshener dash damage" and you'll no longer use one.

Yep... my wife's car has a nice melted spot in the dash thanks to her moronic air freshener that dangled down:

I use a Blackberry Mist that comes in a 4oz bottle and then I use a dropper to saturate a bead sac and hang that under the passenger side floor air vent.

When I got it, I wasn't even going to use it, cause when I smelled the bottle of concentrate, it was not pleasant, but once you apply it, it smells really good.

Those little trees look cheesy as hell on a car like ours! I've never liked that shit! I buy the gel in the flat looking round container that you put under your seat. I use Jasmine.

At the moment, Armani Code. However, it is usually Eternity by Calvin Klein. I know they aren't air freshners but they smell good. All the other ones bother my noce because I have a strong sense of smell and they usually end up giving me a headache.
