What's the world comming to?

It may seem like a minor annoyance but this is the second time I've had the chrome valve stem caps stolen off my TL. Looks like I'll either have to get a good supply or change to the ugly black plastic ones. Anybody else have this problem?Well, at least Scott Peterson got convicted. There is some justice in the world.

That's a damn shame man..... If there is a bright side to

the thefts, at least they are leaving your wheels on the car.

Some peoples kids...

Sorry for your loss. However, you can get "theft proof" caps that have the car logo on them, but they are kinda spendy. Visit: www.griotsgarage.com

You think that's bad. My dad's Denali center caps got stolen -- 60 dollars each = 240 + tax. They pop off in a second, so it's easy to steal. Who's to say it's not going to happen again?

I hate thieves. Why can't they earn their shit like everyone else? They are the scum of the society, and I think we should break their arms so they could never steal again. Just like in history -- they used to cut thieves' hands off. That's what we need.

Don't feel too bad. I have my 05 for 3 Weeks and have had my black plastic caps stolen. Some people are just too cheap to buy their own.

Funny, good ol Soggy Dan sells the same set on eBay for $27 instead of $14. Weird.

Ahh, quit yer whinin'. Before I got my TL my whole car got stolen. Got it back in pieces. Some of them, anyway. Car thieves

Sorry about your theft. I hate people touching ny stuff. Even if it's just a little thing like that. It's a pain in the butt. People should keep their grubby hands off other peoples' stuff.

On the bright side, getting rid of the old car helped me get my TL.

Check these out - real metal not plastic...

I've had this happen too on a previous car. Bought a set of these in standard aluminum and they work great!

Just how do these anti-theft caps work? What's to prevent some a-hole from just screwing these caps off?

The anti-theft caps are a two piece design. The top chrome piece with logo and the base. The design is when you go to take a cap off it'll just spin and spin on the base, to take the cap off you'll need the tool that comes with the cap to lock the top to the base.

Whoa! $31.95 for two! My 18" OEM wheel caps were stolen. Went to pep Boys and bought a set of 4 that look exactly like these (minus anti-theft and logo) for 4.95. They look great and they are still there. Would have to have 13 sets of these stolen to make this an option.

I dunno...

Three out of four of my valve stem covers disappeared in the first week I owned the car. I remember washing the car and noticing one missing, then a few days later two more were gone.

My car is garaged, and in the first week was rarely out of my sight. I have doubts that the covers were stolen. I think they were loose from the factory or dealership and wound themselves off.

The car is special. The stem covers? Not so much.
