What's really leather?
I did a search but can't find the following info to my question:
I'm testing a new leather care cleaning/conditioner system for an online auto supplier. The product is very expensive but suppose to really soften leather.
What precise parts of the car are actually leather as opposed to matching vinyl? Is it just the fronts of the front/rear seats plus steering wheel and gear shift knob? How about the perforated part of the side door and arm rests?
I don't want to be putting this stuff on vinyl due to the cost.
Thanks!

I think the fronts, sides of all seats, shift knob (at least on manual), parking brake handle and door perforations are leather. However, I put conditioner on backs and armrest too.
What expensive product are you talking about anyway? Buy Zaino's Leather in Bottle or Lexols' spray. They are around $15-$20 a piece and last a long time.

My bad, I meant cleaner and conditioner together are for about $15-20.
