If I did my math correctly that is 180k miles. Is yours an AT? I'm at 167k on my 04. Original engine and trans and everything is still doing very well.

115k, AMSOIL ALL DAY. 0 Issues, with the exception of the front control arm bushings, which will fail on ALL TLs over a long enough timeframe.

04 76k
Bought it with 72k - When I did the 3x3 it looked like oil, but no metal on the magnet. So hopefully it will last to 300k |

08 TL-S 41k Runs great but thinking of trading it in for a new 5th generation tl if the body looks good
JUST THINKING FOR NOW |
Just clicked 114K on my 2005; won't be satisfied until it hits 250K.
I need to fix few rattles like the one in the sunroof when angled open. Main annoyance is 3rd gear problem with the 6MT which I hope GMSFM will resolve at this late stage. |
05 with 87k and I've had a few issues. Second transmission, second dashboard, few lights out in the car, and tensioner pulley for the drive belt is going out again....
|
157000KM
as good as new! hopefully it can last another 100k |
07 TL-S 6spd - 103k - starting to show it's age but nothing major after the new clutch last year.

You can always check my sig for this info (lol), but :

2004 TL 6MT
130K+ miles, still going strong and getting great gas mileage 30-31 MPG HWY 74 mph average. I can get more if I lower average speed. Other than fluid changes, engine/cabin filters and tire replacements I've performed the following: - Glove box dampener. - Misc. interior/exterior light bulbs. - Brembo front pads, new rotors. - Timing belt/water pump/misc. timing components. - New shock/spring assemblies. |

It's fun going through this and reading the old replies. Mine used to have very high mileage for it's age. I bought my '06 in Dec of '05 and by the end of '06 had over 30,000 miles on it. I had more than 50k by the time it was 2 years old. But since my driving habits have drastically changed, such as going from a 210 mile round trip to work to a 3 mile round trip, mine is a more normal 109,000 for a nearly 7yr old car. The really crazy thing is the TL is nearly as old as my GN was when I bought it and the GN seemed like an old car at the time. Looking back at my nearly perfect TL and the terrible shape the GN was in, it makes me wonder how someone can do that to a car.
Also, I've replaced many, many of the interior items including the carpet two weeks ago. The steering wheel was replaced about a year ago. Center console about a year ago, maybe less. Many miscellaneous plastic trim pieces and the two strips down the center console back then they were $50 each. The inside looks almost like the day I bought it except the seats. They give away the car's age. They actually look out of place in an otherwise perfect interior. |
157k on my 2005 6MT. I drive between Wilkes-Barre, Williamsport and Reading PA so mostly highway miles. Paint is a little chipped from all those highway miles and a few interior lights have gone (seat heating button etc). The car still drives like new.

My '05 had around 138,000 when we traded it in.
My '08 has 59,000 on it now. |
