i was gonna get huper optik but the shop said they were ghosting too much? then i was looking at crystalline but now im going with the color stable 3m sir!

and then the laws changed to 20%.....
if i could do it over again, i'd do 20% legal Huper Optik.

I did 35%F/20%R and wish I did 20% all around.

Higher chance of getting pulled over by a cop though.

I like it uniform all around. so my vote is 20% all around.

my OCD kicks in when I see cars with different %up front than the rear.

 

I did 20% on all windows and did a 5% eyebrow.

I'd say between 15-30%, lower than 15 is too dark, lighter than 30 is too light. I have 20% on both of my cars and 30% on my wifes. No issues at night or backing up and you can't see in unless it's direct sunshine on you or you're standing right next to the car. F the law just don't draw extra attention. 70% all around is what's legal in PA... 5%/trash bag tint is too ghetto. No mix and match.

 

I recommend spray painting your windows. It'll look darker and its the cheapest too. Just wipe your windows down so it looks "clean"

 

Not very durable, i would recomend plastidip.

 

 

Put on the inside or outside of the window? Or both? I only plastidipped 1 side, will it be twice as dark if I do both sides? Also how many coats of dip is 15% tint?

LOL, you're in violation of New York State's tint laws with your rear side windows; anything darker than 70% on all side windows.

 

I'd go 20% all around think its doesn't look with when mixed and matched...

 

35% tint all around IMO is cleanest and classiest looking. With black interior it looks similar to 20% tint especially on the Type S with all black headliner and pillars. I have a CBP Type S and love my 35%. Wouldn't have done it any other way. Like others have said do not mix and match tint percentages. IMO it looks terrible when rear side windows are darker than the fronts.

Don't forget to tell them to be sure to get the tint all the way behind the rubber strip on the rear quarter windows.

My vote is for 20% all around...just dark enough to protect from the sun, but not too dark. Regardless...go the same all around...otherwise, it draws attention to the tint.

 

I have 35 fronts and 15 rears, my fronts don't even look tinted lol.

 

i have 35% on my entire front windshield and 20% all around with ebony interior.... on my abp tl

its nice and sleek and in the night time you cant seeeeeee shyetttttttt

 

I've had 35% all around for the last 5 1/2 years and have only had my balls broken once. Some trooper who looked like he might have been eligible for retirement in the 70's was hiding behind a thruway toll booth, checking stickers. He had me pull over and then went into the building that's at every exit and broke out the tint meter. Think it metered at like 32. I went to my LASIK doctor and had him write a script for tint and got the ticket dismissed.
