I'm 26, married, one kid done and the other baking. I make about 38K as a Business Analyst. I don't own a TL, but I do have two Accords, 1994EX and 2000EX. The 94 has 170K+ miles on it, but it won't break, so I keep driving it. I'm applying for law school this year, so if all go well, I'll be able to buy one of your used TLs in 5 - 6 years If you think you'll be interested in selling in that time frame, use Mobil 1 and perform routine maintenance, and I'll be happy to make you an offer. Keep the receipts please.

I sell cars but I didn't get mine to drive free. I write a check every month just like everyone else [except Ferrari 527] I see cars traded and sold all day. I get to drive just about everything on the market and when I considered all the factors including ride, handling and performance as well as the economic issues there was no contest. By the way I don't work at an Acura dealership

Translation: This forum, while fun and useful, is by no means an accurate representation of the overall TL population. You (and I) are a rarity- that's why it seems like everyone is into mods, bitching about rattles, and are changing their tires in droves. Additionally, all the youngsters seem so 'wealthy' because of the sheer number of them here. Not every 23 year old can afford a TL, but those who can will absolutely find this forum.

OK, here's my deal. I'm 29 and am in the home healthcare/medical field. Make about $95K per year with no mortgage or debt. The TL is my second car. First is a 97 Camry V6. I paid cash for both as I don't like paying interest on anything esp. credit cards. The money I saved went into a new bodykit and spoiler. I plan to marry next year and to get a house several years down the line. Living with parents now really helps with the cash flow especially given high rental prices here in Boston. Free home cooking is even a bigger bonus . I do help with utilities and food though.

I assume your significant other doesn't read this forum, right? I love your color commentary here...although some stuff I can't agree with on a personal level. It seems to stir up the youngins quite a bit though. I can't post like you as it's not in my nature but that's what makes this world such a unique and interesting place.

Just celebrated my 2 month TL anniversary and 3k miles later I'm still happy as a clam.
My colorful commentary brightens up this place. It's dull without a little levity.
Enjoy the car. Stop staring at that side crease! I see you! Stop it!

Professional manwhore. I also have a sideline selling vicodin to Rush. I used to run an escort service that served the oval office but the administration switch brought that business down. Bush hasn't had a stiffy since that coke induced hypertensive crisis!

I can't believe I just read this entire freakin' thread, I don't know what the hell I was thinking...I hated it, but I just kept reading..and reading...and reading.
I'm a 23 y/o programmer for Verizon Wireless (whats up fellow VzW employees! I think I saw two of you...)
I bought my 3G TL pre-owned/certified...And Just in case my boss sees this, I don't make enough money to pay for this, but I had to get it cause the girls love it, and thus it is crucial to my "hook-up-and-marry-a-rich-girl" plan.

Glad to see this thread. I read half of it but need to get back to work.
I'm old (54) compared to most here. RE/Broker/Appraiser/Investor. Adequate but irregular income. Refinanced an investment property that doubled in value over the past little while and paid cash for my 05 TL. The property still has positive cash flow!
Love the car and no car note. Plan to keep it at least till next generation, perhaps longer. I sold a 94 Legend with 165K. I don't have AOL and found the site all by myself. I spend way to much time lurking here but it's fun and informative.
One more thing, I get to write off about 90% of the cost because I'm self employed.

20 years old. been working for the family restaurant since i was 15. I now run the business. I make enough to not worry about my monthly car/ motorcycle payment and mortgage. car payment is $450 + $150 ins. Bike is $300 w/ins., mortgage is $900. the house is 2/3 paid for. (thanks to my dad, NO FLAMES PLEASE) and a very expensive ass gf. (gf and her family are way more well off than my family is, she should be giving me money!) anyways, other than that lifes pretty sweet at the moment.

19, political science undergrad student at uci.
$779/mo in rent (with housemates)
$20k in tuition
$800 a year insurance
$150/mo for the cell
$100,000,000 on my girlfriend (if my calculations are correct)
i run an internet company that sells consumer electronics specializing in safety. income is a little trickier to figure since sales change so much. but on a bad month of sales i pull anywhere from 10-15k in net profit. on a good month, in the area of 25-35k.
i own and love a 93 acura legend, own a '02 TL, and plan on purchasing an 05 TL or RL in the next 2 months. i'll probably trade in the TL. i don't think i can get rid of the legend at this point in my life.
i'm saving up to buy a nice house after i'm done with college, so i don't show off except with the cars.
