Trust me I know all about the gas.. Mine runs on 100 octane. 6.99 a gallon. Thats why it only goes to the track. My TL is def my get around town car

 

I had the motor completely rebuilt to handle the KB supercharger.that is on it now..About to go to a Twin Turbo setup in the next few months. But yes. Pulley and exhaust on a 04 will easily make at GT500 look stupid

 

If you have the financial and can afford it then GO FOR IT !! You only have 1 life to live

yea well, i don't have all that much money but for the price you pay and the power you get out of the GT500 shelby. I thought it isn't bad.

I think the Shelby's are awesome cars. A friend of mine has a Stage 3 Roush that rocks. If you can afford it (and the insurance), go for it. Just remember its not as "refined" an automobile as the TL. It will ride rougher and lack many of the comfort/conveniences the TL has. For those reasons I wouldn't want one for a daily driver. But if that doesn't matter to you then do it.

I think that's one of the reasons I like some of the old muscle cars. The TL is great for daily driving but sometimes I want an obnoxious rough riding, unrefined, loud, barely street legal car. It's fun to drive something that actually requires skill to drive.

 

Check out Saleen, see what they have to offer. I was crazy about GT500s as well, but after reading a lot of reviews I decided against it. If I do get a mustang, it will be Saleen. But thats just me.

 

I had one Ford and it was a bad enogh experience to make me never purchase another one again. You know what they say, Fucker Only Runs Downhill. That was vertainly the case with mine.
