What to use to clean exhaust tips?

Question What to use to clean exhaust tips?

Are they stainless? maybe mag polish. winter has left mine kinda dull. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue as you. I'll be curious to see what feedback we get. My guess is that they are not stainless, but we'll see.

I agree with rets. I just wash them with soap and water along with the rest of the car.

If they're dull, go get some metal polish like Mothers Billet Metal Polish.

same soap and water i wash the car with but with a towel and not my was mit.

With the winter we have here there is some pitting, small spots of rust. The Meguiar product should be able to take off this by polishing the metal.

Mo one answer is plated crome or stainless etc ...?

I use an essence of Swedish beeswax, Aloe, and a dash of Lime juice (The Norwegian beeswax is much too harsh)....gently rubbed in with a French chamois.

You can use brake cleaner to clean off all the gunk. Then use polish to shine it up.
