What type of oil?

What type of oil do you put in your TL for an oil change? I have a 08 TL and was wondering what other people put in theirs?

5w20 Castrol Syntec.

I just did the first oil change as per MID. Changed the filter too. Call me old-school or something but changing oil w/o changing the filter (as indicated by A1 service) sounds retarded to me.

rp does ok in real world use- but not the all out best,,, for the money it cost

Any name brand oil will do-- synthetic if you prefer,, 5-20 or 5-30
7500 miles for change with filter

on new cars wait at least 6000 miles before first change- the factory oil is special to allow extra wear needed during break in period

think with your dip stick jimmy! use castrol! I love that commercial but any mobil, castrol, amsoil, or any good name brand 5w 20 or 30 will be fine.

Talking

Amsoil 0w20. I live in Wisconsin so I need the cold weather help. If you follow Amsoil's directives on oil changes it gives you the best protection there is cheaper than conventional oils. How can you go wrong with that.

nothings wrong but synthetic gives you more protection. Im sticking to regular since 5 quarts of castrol at walmart is 12 dollars and other good name brand non synthetic for about the same. I change my oil around 2000 anyways
