What should I make sure I get tomorrow
I am picking up my TL tomorrow. Any advice on what I should keep my eye out for to ensure I get? I have heard make sure you get the demo DVD. Any other books/parts I need to make sure of? 2 keys obviously....
XM Radio free 3 month subscription (they should either have activated this or walk you through ordering over the 800 number).
Navigation calibration (they should have already prepped the car by going through the satellite calibration process....test it by putting in a destination before you drive off).
Free 1st oil change (usually a verbal discussion, but make sure they remember to tell you).
Protection package components (my car came with free mudguards, rubber mats, and trunk liner....if you didn't get this in negotiation, doesn't hurt to ask).
Touch-up paint (always ask for it at the time you take delivery so you don't get charged later when you need it.....and you will).
Warranty from trade-in (doesn't apply to everyone, but when you get an extended warranty on your prior car and trade it in before the full term is up, you get a refund from Acuracare.....my dealer arranged this for me so I didn't need to lift a finger).
Bridgestone tires (does not hurt to inform your dealer that you are aware of the problems some are having and if you're not satisfied you intend to ask them to give you different tire options).
Enjoy!

Is the First free oil change thing an acura-wide thing or a dealer by dealer thing? I never got an indication from anyone at my dealer that I would get any free oil changes - I even asked if they could do something like that since MB and BMW both offer free oil and other maintenance through full warrantee period - they said they could not match that.
Also, regarding touch up paint - again an across the board acura thing? Seems odd that they would make it available free.

To the original poster: Check out the body panels closely for adhesive left behind from those white shipping protective sheets. This is a bitc* to get off on your own but can be done...just ensure they prepped it to your satisfaction. Additionally, I've heard of some folks not having their cargo nets located with the spare tire...check that too.
There's some good advice above, but I have a slightly different view. I'm not trying to be purposefully disagreeable, I just think you should focus on some other stuff.
First, you'll get three keys, not two. The extra is a valet. The other two are masters and each comes with a fob. You'll also get about 27 manuals. The Demo disc should be included as well, though frankly it's not all that and a bag of chips anyway.
Second, I wouldn't worry about a bunch of extras just to feel like you're getting a good deal. If you really want the mudguards, by all means try to get them thrown in at no charge or dealer cost. Personally I don't like how they look on the TL, except maybe on the NBP. I also don't like the plastic trunk tray - I had it on an '01 CL and found it less than useless. If you really want it, fine, but otherwise don't feel like you've missed out on something if you don't want it anyway. A pen? Who cares? XM activation? You can do that yourself in 60 seconds via the 800 number.
Concentrate your energies on the money exchange and the car itself - dealers know a lot of tricks to distract you and hurry you when the time comes.
Pay attention to the financial paperwork - some dealers try to slide things in there at the last moment. Being human, they can also introduce errors accidentally. Make sure the numbers, addresses, and VIN are all correct. Check the VIN on the car itself. Look for paint flaws (especially on and around the bumpers) damage to the interior, etc. Make sure the headliner isn't falling (look for a big gap at the interior rear of the sunroof) because that does seem to be a (relatively) common problem. Make sure they've gotten all the nasty pre-delivery plastic off - a few of us found some of it later and it can be a bitch to remove. Make them take off all dealer insignia if you don't want it - why should you have to take it off at home and risk messing up the paint?
Search this forum, there were some other threads about this stuff a while back.
Most important, take your time, don't let them rush you. Good luck and enjoy the car!
(By the way, what colors are you getting?)

Great advice. Also make sure you get the radio code and the navi code. I believe that they paste them into the service manual. You will need both if you ever have to disconnect the battery. I would be inclined to write them down on a separate piece of paper at home as well.
My dealer threw in the wheel locks. I would be inclined to get them even if you have to pay for them.
Just so you don't have to read the whole manual before you start driving, I would make sure that the key fobs (or at least yours) are linked before you leave the dealership.
Incidentally, the pen was sent to me about a month after I got the car. Its a pretty decent pen.

This is good one. Thanks.
I also asked for and got without a murmur a coupla mile test drive without any dealer personnel, BEFORE I signed anything. In that test drive, I zowed it to make sure there were no vibrations (there weren't) and tested interior gauges, etc. on a quick and dirty basis. I also carefully walked around the vehicle, THEN signed everything. The finance manager (and I don't think she was just buttering me up) said she is always surprised about how few people do that before buying the car. This was in early April - I have had absolutely no issues whatsoever and am just really enjoying the vehicle. Good luck!

Thanks! I don't care about fringes and agree with your post. I meant manuals and such....
My advice. Have an absolute maximum in mind that you are prepared to offer and make them fully aware that it is the MAXIMUM. If they're aren't prepared to accept.........walk. You can always come back later. And 9 times out of 10, if your offer was at least reasonable.........they'll call you to come back first.

Aspirin for your achy face muscles after smiling nonstop for the first 24 hours after picking it up. :lol2:
Seriously, if you're picky about tires, call a few tire shops and pre-trade an upgrade to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S or other first-class tire. Then, drive straight there and do it. I wish I had this advice before buying.
