The 2012 Si shift knob is pretty awesome... great feel in your hands. lighter than stock s2k knob.

allst0ck-
I have a Maven countersunk shift knob, it sits lower, which reduces your leverage and requires to give more effort to shift especially with the a short shifter kit.
IMO get something that you can adjust the height to suit your taste, or a Maven that is not counter sunk. If you are switching up the knob, look at adding a short shifter and a bushing kit from Heeltoeauto. Both these together make shifting even more enjoyable..... and don't forget to do the check valve delete!

I went with monster knobs $40 all black resin. I prefer over the stock tl-s shift knob. http://monsterknobs.com/acurashiftknobs.html

No problem allst0ck, the short shifter kit doesn't actually make your shifter shorter in height, it just changes the length of which you move shifter from gate to gate. In your case the Mavin counter sunk will get you the height you want.
