What is required for the "B" (second) service?

And how much did you pay?

Park acura in Akron, OH said it was the same as the 15k miles service but I only have 10,500 miles. They also want $165 for the service. They said it includes oil change, tire rotation, and over all check that includes checking fluids brakes etc ...

Does this sound right or should I take it somewhere else? I dont have the manual on me at work so I cant check.

the B service is equivalent to a 15K service, I compared the 04-05 manual to my brother's 2nd gen TL's.... 165 seems a little much though, I paid 100

I paid $100 for mine as well and didn't do the tire rotation since I'm getting new tires in a month. $165 is really steep.

that's about what i paid and i think its a complete ripoff. i have seen others here get the same service for 65 bucks which seems more reasonable.

Literally I paid $22 for my B service (oil change / fluids check & top-off).

Since I replaced my tires (twice) I didn't need a rotation, but that shouldn't be $145...

I paid 59.99 for the Service B (oil change, rotate tires, top off fluids, "inspect" stuff) .. i was too lazy to rotate the tires myself.

That's about in line with dealer cost here in NE Ohio, ludachrisvt. I paid about that for my B service some months ago at Motorcars Acura. The only way to have it done cheaper is to take it to an independent garage, or do it yourself.

I just can't understand what the heck these dealers are charging $150+ for. I had an Audi (free service for 3-4 years depending on when you bought the car), and was a little concerned with Acura.

My dealer (Ed Voyles - Atlanta) has really done right by me - and I'd be happy to use them for all service knowing that I haven't been raped in the A and B services...

OK, waiting for a coupon (which Motorcars periodically sends me) is another option.
