What is really wrong with the RL

I know the RL isn't selling that well, but I don't know why. Also, I have noticed that some dealers are letting them go for real low prices. So my question is, how much of a better car is the RL over the TL and is the price drop really worth it to buy it?

Do a little searching and you'll find some older threads on this forum (and the RL forum) with extensive discussion on the subject. I started some of these threads when I was contemplating an RL or a TL. After a lot of thought I ended up going with the TL, and I'm very happy with the choice. The RL is a great car, and there are some features I wish our TL had (the better nav, nicer leather, etc.). But overall I thought the TL was a better buy and had some advantages (such as styling and acceleration). Even at the steep discounts, the RL is still about $10-15k more than the TL. So you have to decide if the extra cost buys you enough additional features to be worth it.

there you have your answer. Its not that the RL is a bad car, its that the TL has so much in terms of value and styling over it.

There are many discussions on this in the 2G RL forum, which is where this issue really belongs. Because we can't move threads, please repost there.
